Bigga than Ben, a barbed satire starring Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian), Hero Tiffin-Fiennes (The Half Blood Prince in the next Harry Potter film) and Andrei Chadov (Russkoye), will be released in selected UK cinemas on Friday October 10th 2008.
On Monday 6th October at 6pm (for 6.30pm), there will be a London Charity Premiere screening of the film at the Odeon Covent Garden.
Based on the best-selling Russian novel “Bolshe Bena,” Bigga than Ben follows the wild exploits of two freewheeling Russians as they embark on a headlong charge through the seedy underworld of London. With music by Pete Doherty and Joe Strummer, and featuring the debut by the latest of the Fiennes dynasty Hero Tiffin-Fiennes, Bigga than Ben takes a darkly comic look at what it takes to survive as an outsider in the harsh, unforgiving and pricey UK metropolis. Looking at immigration, racism, poverty and disenchantment, Bigga than Ben is a tribute to all those in search of a better life.
The movie was screened to great acclaim at the Edinburgh, Moscow and Brooklyn Film Festivals and has already been released successfully in Russian cinemas.
Tickets are £15. All proceeds from the night will go to Cardboard Citizens.
Your ticket will also allow access to an exclusive after party at Century on Shaftsbury Avenue. Stars from the film, Ben Barnes and Andrei Chadov will both be there.
