Terrible dubbing

Whats with the sound?! It seems like its been translated into another language and then back again. Really got in the way of watching the film.

Rebeccy-I noticed this too-as though there as a "lipsync" issue. Then Shamim shared with us that the sound had to be redone with all of the actors, because the initial investor stole the sound and legally they couldn't get it back after chasing the film through courts for 18 months, so the actors came back in and matched sound to picture. So, all in all, it turned out ok, given the crazy circumstances they overcame!

holy *beep* my suspicions confirmed! for being re-recorded, i think they gave some awesome performances. just wish it wasn't so noticeable.

That explains a lot. I thought the acting job done in The World Unseen was better since it felt more natural in a way I couldn't quite put my finger on. The fact that they had to redub the entire movie makes my feeling make more sense.

reply

I knew it had been dubbed but I've never actually noticed it. Strange...

reply

ohh thats why it was so weird, it reminded of tv adverts where the audio doesn't quite match the visual.

I've only seen the preview - but the voice sync looks TERRIBLE. It looks like they filmed this in Hindi or some other language other than English, and then just dubbed in English voices.

I could be wrong about that - but terrible voice sync issues like this would drive me INSANE in about 2 minutes - so there is absolutely NO WAY I could ever watch this movie.

I was wondering what was up with the sound.. I found it odd that it looked dubbed but their lips were definitely speaking the same words as their mouths just not in a natural way or sound.
