True Story
Can anyone please driect me to a website that maybe details the true events that this film is based on. I would really like to learn more about this horrible crime. Many thanks in advanced.
It's based on the Sylvia Likens murder in Indianapolis in 1965. I'm from Indianapolis and as a kid I remember the name of the perpetrator Gertrude Baniszewski as being akin to Satan.

Thanks for the link. I was horrified by the abuse this child suffered. I found it impossible to watch without worrying about other victims of abuse. Reading the information from this link makes me even more reslved to do mmore to help children. I just can't imagine a person being able to be so cruel or that the perpetrators were ever allowed to go free.
