The polaroids are meant to be a "map" to the vault, which would meant they had to be taken after the initial event, so how did they become objects?

reply

A real map (object) could have been destroyed in the room and the polaroid was the replacement objects to form that map... conservation of objects.

Not all of the polaroids are objects. Only the overdeveloped polaroid that says "Gallup" on it is an object, and we see this when he tries to burn that particular picture and it won't burn. The other polaroids were simply stored with that object but aren't objects themselves.

I actually have considered the possibility of the second post, but not the first, and you might be right it could work both ways, thank you both of you
