Depends on the parent. They're terrible movies to watch with my mom, but my dad loves them (he's very cool and has a great sense of humor).

^^^^^^^^Ever heard of Irreversible?

I can name every smurf from memory.

reply

OH WOW! Yeah watching "Irreversible" with my parents would be.... an interesting experience, to say the least. Watching it by myself was uncomfortable enough, lol

reply

Try watching films that a basically a *beep* fest.

Basic Instinct and Sliver come to mind. :)

reply

Nine Songs probably would be awful (real sex, basically porn, art film)

reply

Don't forget Tropic Thunder!

I'm 14 and it wasn't that awkward watching Tropic Thunder. The worst one was most likely Team America. I was just waiting for one of them to turn it off.

I is very good at mathimaticals and engliz speakings.

reply

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned American Pie.

reply

i'd be suprised too if the OP hadnt said american pie as #2

CALL 911! NOW!

reply

I watched tropic thunder with my parents and we couldnt stop laughing together during that film. Now that i think about it, my parents are awesome. My mother even watched a toe tag picture film with me called the murder collection vol. 1. Talk about a disturbing film.

reply

This kinda’ depends on your parents - and your age.

As a 32 year old I can’t say that anybody involved would be that bothered by my family watching this film together.

The Guinea Pig series of films however, they might prove tricky.

reply

Yeah, it definitely depends on your parents and your age. I've watched Superbad with both of the kids (okay they're 20 and 30), and we've watched about everything on the list together.

The funny thing is I can be watching a movie alone that maybe has one sex scene in it. My daughter always walks in when the sex scene comes on and says "Ooh gross, mom how come you're always watching movies about sex?" It's so funny and ironic that she always happens to walk in at that moment.

I'm not sure I would feel comfortable watching some of these movies with my 75 year old mom though. I have a much better relationship with my kids when it comes to these things.

reply

I went to the American Pie with my father, we both enjoyed it very much

reply

Scary Movie and borat aren't good to watch with parents either :s

reply

I saw scary movie with my mother in the theatres when it first came out when i was about 12 or 13 lol. We laughed and enjoyed it. My parents are very unique and awesome.

This is better Top 10. I can't believe that none of them are on your list.Porky'sRevenge of The NerdsJackass 2Bachelor PartyBoratRoad TripPink FlamingosBad SantaTrainspottingDarkness FallsSouth Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut

reply

Darkness Falls?!!! Wah? Why?

.

reply

Because it's just a bad movie.

Pink Flamingos
We have a winner!

Basic Instinct is another good one. I actually saw it at a friend's birthday party in 8th grade and his parents were the ones who rented it for us. Granted they didn't watch it, but I'm sure if they did we wouldn't have gotten to see the whole thing.

Unless you're a baby boomer yourself, most peoples' parents have already seen Porky's and Revenge of the Nerds. If you're a teenager living at home, there's a good chance they've seen all the of more recent teenage sex comedies, too. I never thought laughing at stuff my parents also find funny to be horribly akward. I went to both "Go" and "Pulp Fiction" with my mom in high school. Of course she's also the person who introduced me to Bruce Lee and Evil Dead movies.

Haha Pink Flamingos would have to be the worst movie anyone could think of watching with their parents. I don't know how I made it through that one (by myself, not with my parents). Almost threw up my M&M's! Poor chicken...

Pink Flamingos definitely takes the cake!

Book of Love
Rivers Edge
Naked Gun
Naked Gun 33 1/3
My Own Private Idaho

Meatballs 2

The Mysteries of the Human Orgasm

reply

Sweeney Todd? Why? and which one? I saw Tim Burton's version with my brother and my dad in the theater.
And the Naked Gun movies... I've seen those with my family a million times. And it was my dad who introduced me to them!

reply

Dutch? Guess I have to rewatch that one.

reply

Yeah, I've watched Porky's, Road Trip, Revenge of the Nerds and Bachelor Party with my mum. I've also watched them with my dad. I've only watched Trainspotting by myself but that's not because I'd find it awkward with them, it's just because I know my mum doesn't like the film and I don't live with my dad. I watched some of the South Park movie with my dad and I've watched some of Bad Santa with my mum but I wasn't massively keen on either of them anyway. I haven't seen the rest of those films myself so I couldn't really judge.

reply

My dad wouldn't admit it, because he thinks he's supposed to think they're tacky, but he loves the Jackass films.

reply

I'm actually watching it with my dad right now on DVD (I've seen it about a milliom times myself) and he actually really likes it. It's funny though to see that he laughs at the weirdest points, and in some scenes which I found absolutely mindblowingly hilarious he's silent. But yeah. My dad's awesome.

reply

I have in fact watched American Pie and Eurotrip with my mum as a teenager...
Wasn't too bad.

I would say "Young people Fu*king the title kinda gives it away, doesnt it?)
or Ken Park. Now THAT would be akward!
