I really love this movie. I think Angelina Jolie was just right. She captured the spirit of Mariane Pearl. The whole movie is gut-wrenching to me. The movie is very character oriented. I see all of these people drawn together in this little house and running around Karachi like mad with one common goal, which we know the whole time they will not achieve. Their interactions are what make the film, that and Mrs. Pearl's refusal to buckle to terrorism throughout. I thought Angelina really gave a stout, yet nuanced performance. I've seen criticisms of her accent and her ethnicity, but screw that. I think she got Mariane Pearl, and I think the rest of the cast got their characters.

Pretty much agree she played it very well. The movie moves along at a very good pace the tension and emotion come across in spades. Resonated more woth me than some other films ive seen recently in sort sort of genre such as Argon

It's a really well structured docu - drama that successfully attempts to portray the events surrounding the Pearl tragedy in a compellingly realistic, dispassionate, non-sensational manner.
