What's the difference between this and American Sniper?

Just wondering.
This was on Sky last night, and although I have seen it before and it's very sad, how is it any different to what the Americans did with American Sniper?

There are plenty of people that lined up to call Chris Kyle a coward. What about the 10/15 people that kidnap journalists off the streets and behead them for being white?
There's nothing more cowardly than locking an unarmed man in a cage and burning him alive.
