Any word on when this will be released?

It already has been. It's available as we speak on demand/pay per view through IFC Films until May 11. Check your cable listings (you have to have cable to get it). Or go to this link to see if you can order it in your area:

It should be out on DVD later in the year, too, after its run on Movies On Demand.

I just watched it On Demand two nights ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. You caught the 70s vibe pretty tight and I especially enjoyed the ill fitting sub plot of the moonshiner. A good drive in style flick without the horrible film stock.

I agree, Earl the moonshiner was one of my favorite characters.
