Exploitation Gold
Just saw this for the first time. I hadn't even heard of it til a friend told me about it last week. This is beyond awesome, if you love low rent rural 70's exploitation. It felt like a cross between a whole host of independent films from that period, many already mentioned, but I'd like to also add the stylings of S.F. Brownrigg into the mix of inspirations I see here.
The one single thing that would have sent this movie into the stratosphere of modern exploitation films, is if they had the budget to process and treat the film to look like 16mm film stock. That would have been glorious.
I'm actually surprised to come to the message board and see so little chat about it. Oh well, they have a fan for life in this cretin.
