Plot Hole near the end of the movie *Spoilers*

When Bixby tells Shredderman that he got the cops to come and shut down his website, this is assumed to be true, and that assumption is confirmed when he tries to access the website and it is shut down.

This is a Plot Hole because local police cannot shut down a website, only a court order can do that. Even if Bixby did somehow get a court order, this is still a Plot Hole because when a website is shut down by a court, it must display a page saying the law which was violated as well as the agency which seized the domain. When Shredderman tried to visit the website, neither of these criteria were met.

I am currently studying law, and even when I watched this movie in 2007, I still had a feeling that local cops could not shut down an international website.

By the way, all websites, no matter how small, are international because they can be accessed from anywhere in the world.
