omg I noticed that! I was actually coming here to say this myself so hopefully people will see it.

I actually thought that the American girl for this time period should have been asian. I mean the Japanese living in America went through a lot and it would be nice to show a little girl being strong through it all.

They're now coming out with a Girl Of The Year movie called Chrissa Stands Strong.

Japanese Americans weren't the only ones placed in internment camps during WWII. Nazism didn't spread in the US until the idea was shared with large numbers of German Americans in internment camps in Texas. I'd like to see them do an Asian girl during the early 1900s in San Francisco (maybe 1906 so they could talk about the earthquake). It could start with her being stopped on Angel Island and talk about the poetry there, like Kirsten's story started with her leaving Sweden.

Well, people should become melting pot Americans again. That way, it wouldn't matter if they were originally Asian, African, Mexican, etc.
