Confused **SPOILERS**

Just saw this movie for the first time. Never heard of it, so I had no expectations going in. I'm confused by part of the story though. Emmanuelle's character Lucy is sleeping with the mayor because why? Because she has daddy issues? That makes no sense to me. Burning the dad's car I can see, but how does sleeping with an ugly older corrupt authority figure get back at your father?

Then at the end, when he's gonna jump she doesn't say one thing to show she cares about Chase. I get that not everything turns out positive in the end, but her character is quickly turned into one of the most unlikable females I have seen in a movie in quite some time. She does nothing to redeem herself in the end and only gets worse and worse as the movie goes on.

It was confusing to me because the actress didn't really fit the role well in my opinion. Not just by her looks, but by the way she acted...she never seemed as malicious in demeanor as her actions actually were. It all kept getting sort of played off too because Justin Long's character was so nice about everything.

Besides that I thought the movie was alright, but her character was just completely confusing to me. Didn't understand her at all.
