Van Damme at his worst

This is definitely one of Van Damme worst movies I have seen. A total waste of time for a film that showed little action and fighting scenes that were less than average. Storyline also was a complete mess up and why the *beep* is he carrying around a *beep* rabbit??? Today i watched a really good fighting action film (Flash point) and realized how bad Border Patrol really is. Watch Flash Point and you will realize what it is to have 1 and a half hours of real entertainment instead of torturing yourself through this waste of time.

This film is definitely not comparable with Van Damme's earlier works. I was highly disappointed.

i have to agree, donnie yen´s FLASH POINT is really much better than THE SHEPHERD.

Watch Wake of Death instead of this.

Bad Carpenter flicks are a treat compared with the current spate of PG-13 horror freakhouse

*beep* This was FAR from his worst.
In fact from a hand to hand fighting/acrobatics point of view this was his best for a long time. His physique is looking good too...no Seagal style letting himself go to be seen here.

"The Shepherd", "Till Death", "In Hell" and "wake of Death" are very fine 'modern Van Damme' films.

Yes some of the plotting (or should that be post filming editing it seemed to me) was off and some scenes and minor characters were left stranded, but the action, fighting and Van Damme himself were all top flight, certainly for a latter day Van Damme movie.

I agree on that one, i think this movie wasn't that bad at all.
I watched JCVD and that one wasn't as good as this.
Not just because of the action scenes, i meant because of the story line.
In JCVD jean claude was acting very well and the same goes for this movie.
People from the US are always complaining about movies and it doesn't matter wich one.
Some of the cheesiest box office movies get the best ratings and they suck even more...

Why was he carrying around a rabbit? You are preaching your hatred for this movie when you ask a question that was clearly answered in the movie. Jean-Claude even explained it so perhaps the movie wasn't that bad, perhaps you just weren't paying attention to it....

honestly watch his three movies before this, or watch Second in Command and then come back and make that statement; this was actually a classic van damme movie, reminding me of legionnaire and lion heart, the fight scenes were good and an okay story, def. far from his worst

This movie is on TV right now and it made me throw up on my dog.

It's supposed to be set in New Mexico and right from the start I said it don't look like any part of New Mexico I've been to. Sure enough the movie was shot in Bulgaria.

Rent Police Academy 8 instead.

I'm watching it too and I'll have to disagree about this being one of his worst. In terms of some of the fight scenes and the movie overall, this really isn't so bad for him.

Universal Soldier: Regeneration is in my opinion Van Damme's best modern movie, it is better than this. However this isn't terrible and stars the magnificent Scott Adkins.

Movies such as Death Warrant or The Quest are far cornier than this.

Derailed is his worst movie, the fight scene with Scott Adkins could have been better this was an ok movie

Does that even count as a JCVD movie,i hear he only has a couple mins? I did not like Derailed because it felt like a cheap version of Seagal's Under Siege 2.This movie was good but like i said i was expecting an all out war between Adkins and Van Damme
