I did not like this movie

it was pretentious and infantile.

so many reviewers say this movie "deals" with something, but all it really
does it to mix up a bunch of cuts and let the viewer deal with whatever,
or make something up to deal with.

i am getting so tired of the noise, cut and paste, rapid fire, Rorschak(sp?)
test of lots of these new movies. It is like show cuts of a bunch of different
things related to something and the hypnotized audience pastes it
together for you and calls it brilliant.

This movie did hold my interest, but it did not say much to me. I
feel sorry for young people today tossed into this mixed up mess
of images and sounds left to think this is reality.

What an old and crotchety response: "It's fast and noisy and it confused me with its fast and noisiness".

It's a fascinating story of growing up out of immaturity of two kids who did it all backwards. I wouldn't say it "deals" with anything in the typical sense, it's more of a reflection of how two kids found their paths in life.

So I guess your criticism of infantile is spot on, because the subject matter was infantile. But pretentious, no.

reply

up yours, it is not a personal insult to you, but this is, ahole.
talk about immaturity and infantile, and pretentious, it's you.

reply

Bruce-129 doesn't take criticism very well. Calling people an ahole is very mature.

reply

speaking the truth is mature. being able to see the truth is mature.
the truth is a good thing. insulting someone and calling them old,
crotchety and infantile for speaking about their opinion of a movie
is being an ahole. no wonder most of human history is filled with
war and killing. look at personal people take it when you just dislike
a movie they like. that is stupid.

reply

soooooo, you think your meaning about this film is "the truth"??? lmfao

I'm perfectly fine with people having opinions and taste. Retards have them too you know.

Being a Norwegian in his 20s I found this film very realistic. The scene where the group of friends are swimming is amazingly accurate of how people at this age interact.

First of all, if I filmed people at this age interacting
would it be interesting to you? Why?

Second, so what, is my point. Yeah, parts of the movie
are realistic, but so what? What was the point. I could
just as well watch dust blow away or grass grow?

OK, I give you that it was better than watching dust blow
away ... but I am not sure about grass.

reply

because it is entertaining? Why don't you go watch a Scary Movie? I'm sure it's the right alley for you.
