What's the secret to doing this in under an hour? I tried for the first time last night, and wasn't even done with Chapter 4 at the 50 minute mark.

I didn't even come close to doing it in under an hour. If you're trying for 100%, you don't actually need to.

I noticed that. I got through it in one hour and three minutes, and got the brick.

I finished Episode V in 1:00:00:87 and I would've finished it faster if R2D2 didn't decide to get stuck at one point and make me go back and get him.

Yeah I had 1h25s for ESB so annoying hgot the brick anyhow. It might be as long as you get the 100,000 studs its ok to go over a bit

Yeah, ROTJ is difficult. I didn't realize the timer and score was insignificant until I read an FAQ. It took me around 45 min to get through the first 4 stages, where I started getting worried. And then I flew by the emperor and death star stages.

Not that it really matters anymore since time doesn't matter, but my secret was using jump slashes on the emperor and choke holds on the guards. I beat that level in 3 - 4 min. My total time was around 55 min.

that is just unlucky.

My time was approximately 1:00:20:00 and I was furious. I would have done it in time if I hadn't bothered spending time collecting some studs in the fourth chapter, since I got about 20,000 over the target in the end anyway. And I had trouble in the last chapter that could have been avoided. I still got 100.00% now but it doesn't feel like it, so I'll give this another try.

I know it's been a long time since you posted this question, but I thought I'd answer with one of my secrets (which I discovered after a long time of playing):

On "Jabba's Sail Barge," when you finally get on the deck, don't waste time fighting endless Gamorrean guards or Weequays. After you've destroyed the solid shields over the huge generators, use Luke to jump to the second riser of the deck, without building the steps to it. No guards will appear on that second riser (they'll stay down below to fight it out with the other characters); Luke can thus freely use his lightsaber and Force powers to create the ramp to the third riser, without taking shots or axe hits to interfere. When you use the ramp to get to that top riser (where the gun is), the other characters will appear with you. That little trick right there shaved 3-4 minutes off my time.
