Sorry, I've forgotten, but what was the suspicious Email that the politician's colleague was supposed to have sent?
I'm thoroughly enjoying this series -dark, almost Gothic, and a sense of reality pervades. Quite a contrast to the slick thrillers we see so often nowadays.
Basically it was an email sent to a journalist giving them info about the ongoing police investigation - namely, that at that time that the police were looking for a car involved in a murder case (giving the registration number) and that that car had been hired by the politician's office. Furthermore, the police were looking to question the driver of that car who had been hired to distribute campaign literature to several locations, including the school that Nanna attended. It effectively leaked their involvement in the murder investigation to the press, which effectively screwed things up as they were trying to keep that information hidden until the police had cleared them of any wrongdoing.
It really is an absolutely stunning series. Are you watching on BBC Four? I'm so hooked that I almost can't wait for the next episodes. I'm giving serious consideration to importing the Australian box set with English subtitles just so I don't have to wait!
