Fear of a Black Hat/CB4

This movie and Stomp the yard seem to have had a similar "dilemma" as the movies in the title..From what I understand Cundieff "Sold" the rights to his story to a big movie company and they came up with CB4 he didn not like the direction that movie was taking and produced his own film closer to the original story...So this movie is done then? they are just figuring out how to release it?

From what I hear, they're not done yet. The director died shortly before or after principal photography. I know the original writers. They sold this thing and didn't realize it was a dirty deal unti after it was done. They moved onto some other things. Then, Sony comes along with their version that sounds exactly like what was orginally turned in. From what those two dudes told me, they laughed and went on about their business.
