Gotta say, i hate it when movies about Colombia are filmed in other Latin American countries. Also, if you're going to use latin actors from other countries, could you at least make sure you have the accent right? There were like 5 different accents, of which only a couple were right on... For me the authenticity goes right out the window. Come on people (producers, director) if you're going to film a movie about kidnapping and Colombia, film it there!! It's not as dangerous as it used to be, and if someone from your cast or crew does get kidnapped, well there's your authenticity!

I totally agree with you. I just saw the movie on HBO, and thought America's accent was a joke. There were more Mexicans playing Colombians than Colombians themselves!! Make it right!

You're absolutely right! I, too, hate it when films about "mi segunda patria" are filmed in Mexico, or Panama, or wherever. Colombia has come a long way since its drug problems of the '90's -- and it would not be so "dangerous" to actually film there. But, let me say, it's OK that they end up with five different accents -- the US public doesn't know the difference or care. It's all about entertainment.
