So this is what kids today consider rock?!

A bunch of posing f---in' losers. Adult people with Hot Topic gear. And what's up with those embarrassing devil signs? Please stop it, ok, you aren't metal in any way, shape or form.
To a degree it's pretty entertaining to watch these clowns making a$$es of themselves on television but sometimes it just reaches a level where it's almost too painful to see.

You wanna hear some REAL rock'n'roll I suggest you listen to bands such as:
Iggy And The Stooges
Motörhead
Misfits
GBH
Venom
Entombed
Sodom
Vibrators
Adicts
Dead Kennedys
Ramones
Slayer
Torment
The Exploited
Discharge
Varukers
Social Distortion
Tiger Army
Mad Sin
The Cramps
The Meteors
Death Breath
etc. etc. etc.

Well pal, rock and metal are two different things but they got the same rotes and that is the blues. Rock is so many different things and many different styles. AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Metallica and Black Sabbath are considered rock but they are very different in style.

I like Iggy, Ramones and Motörhead. But I also listen to other bands. I must say I like almost all kinds of rock and punk. But I hate grunge.

The good, or in your opinion bad, with music is that it is so wide so everyone can find songs that they like. Sure, some music is massproduced sh!t written by a stupid computer selled by the records companies to 14-year old idiots. But we don't have to listen to that if we don't wan't to.

And one last thing: Ramones are a punk band, some consider them the first real punk band ever, and isn't Tiger Army psychobilly? You here, Rock is such a big term.

Yeah, and that particular music would also be my target as far as critizing garbage like Rock Star Supernova.

But we don't have to listen to that if we don't wan't to.

Not exactly true unless you wanna spend the rest of your life under a rock deep in the woods.

I simply listed bands that rocks in my opinion, be it metal, punk, psychobilly whatever.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot; Bon Jovi is a *beep*

You forgot Mastodon and Isis on your list.

Being hit by someone in a moving car is no basis for a relationship.

First let me start by agreeing that RS:Supernova was pretty much a crap-fest. Their preening and posing killed what could have been a great series.

That said, however, you are obviously one of those who (narrow-mindedly) subscribe to the concept that any band who has had significant commercial success, must by definition, be crap. I notice that not one entry on your list is what could legitimately be called a "big name" band. With the exception of a few notables who were big in their own niche markets (ie: Motorhead, Ramones, DK, etc.), most of the bands you've named are little known outside of hardcore fans in their given genre. This is not to say that they lack talent (SOME of them are, indeed, great bands), but they have never achieved any major main-stream success. Not to mention that most (note: I did not say ALL) of these are punk/alternative bands, or similar genres. The simple fact is, TV has to go for the ratings, which means they need big name, commercial, money making prospects. This doesn't have to mean crap music though. Many of the bands which QueenOfVinyl list are damned hot bands who managed to be great "despite" having achieved commercial success.

I don't see how anyone who is a serious music fan can argue the greatness of B.B. King, even if you are not a fan of his specific type of music. And "even though" he made it big commercially, Hendrix has been widely accepted (even by many of the artists you named), to be THE king of the electric guitar. Just because you don't like the style or genre of music, doesn't mean that those who play it lack talent. Personally, I'd rather eat my own eyes than listen to modern rap music, but that doesn't mean that I can't accept that SOME of the artists are damned talented. And of course, like all types of music, some are no talent hacks, cashing in on the latest trends.

Storm Large definitely has the most talent out of the bunch, she was the only person to have made her own decent music outside of Supernova, in fact, I'm glad she was cut 'cos she has made much better music since, and is better off without sh.itfest supernova.

Trying to define "REAL" rock and roll is retarded, especially considering rock started with artists like Chuck Berry who sound nothing like any of the artists you mentioned. Rock can be metal, rock can be punk, it can also be pop, folk, or any other number of sub-genres.
