Person Below Me Game: Part Four

Well, seeing as Part 3 has decided to leave us, I guess it's time for Part 4.

The last PBM that I remember is: What is a movie(s) that makes you cry? Or, if you don't cry, what made you almost cry or what really, really touched you?

-The Flock-
A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises.

reply

I cried watching Romeo and Juliet (Lurhman version) last night. It doesn't usually make me cry but I was in the mood for a cry XD

Otherwise Bridge to Terabithia got me close.

PBM:I like that question, so same again

My mum's is better ~The Flock~ Team JEJ4TV
You had me at sex tape

reply

Silly people. I don't cry while watching movies. I don't think I've ever come close, either. *thinks hard*

Well, there was that one movie....but dude. I can't even remember what it was called. That is how I'm going right now.

PBM: Same question.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Crying is for pussies!!!!!!!.....all right, I remember I cried once when I was 5 years old for a film called Willow. In the beginning when the baby is floating away. It brought a tear to my eye and the worst part....everyone laughed at me for crying. Since then, I have not cried nor have any intention of crying again.

PBM: Do you believe in fate? You know, stuff like two lovers from distant planets gaze across the galaxy and find cheesy love and stuff.

I have my reasons for asking this question cause I'm confused as heck in regards to my love life. Bloody relationships!!!!

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

reply

Hey, I modelled the question so that you tin-chests could also answer! I also asked if any movie touched you? Silly people.

I have a strange relationship with fate. I believe in karma, to a certain extent. And I believe that both existentialism and fatalism work together. I believe that things happen for a reason, but they happen as a result of something that you did from your own free will... Like... there are different paths that you must choose all the time, that point in specific directions, but it is your choice which one you choose... It's so bloody confusing. It makes sense in my head...

That probably didn't help your predicament. Naaaw, trouble with the bear?

PBM: Do you believe in reincarnation?

-The Flock-
A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises.

reply

uh, not necessarily. but that would be cool if it was real, and you never actually died. you just don't remember your past life.

PBM: are you computer savvy?

~Flocker
Keep Calm and Ride the Kick.
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

reply

Um, kind of. I can figure stuff out really easily. I also have a knack for finding virus-laden sites.

PBM: Are you tech savvy?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Pretty much. Give me a piece of equipment and there's a 95% chance I'll figure it out very soon. Took me 10 minutes to get accustomed to a $2,000 high definition video camera the Uni had.

PBM: Last time you cried? Why?

~Cal

"Life is the Empire's currency. Spend it well."

reply

Last Wednesday, both of joy and sadness, because I was watching Schindler's List.

PBM: Last time you swore aloud, and why?

-The Flock-

[deleted]

oh jeez... probably this morning cause the people in the parking lot of my school were being COMPLETE morons... I curse like a sailor, honestly. and ever since I've watched the show Misfits I've gotten a lot worse.

PBM: anyone seen/watched the show Misfits?

~Flocker
Keep Calm and Ride the Kick.
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

reply

Nope. I want to, but TV is not a big part of my life right now.

PBM: Are you tall or short?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

[deleted]

Cal, that is tall. And I'm not a midget. That's Liz.

Anyway, answer: dancing for the orchestra concert, like, five minutes ago. Hilarious. We grabbed one of our teachers and started swinging him around.

PBM: Last sad thing that happened in your life?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Thanks, girl-who-is-only-a-few-cm-taller-than-me.

Something that is very hard to explain and quite personal, so I'll go with the next one, which is when I realised that my sister talks like this: "And she was like, 'I don't know,' and I was like, 'Oh, okay,' and then like, it started raining like, kinda hard." (She didn't actually say that bull, but you get the gist.)

She's a very, very smart girl, and is mature of her age, so when my eyes started to twitch while she was telling me a story, I looked around, confused at what could possibly have caused the involuntary reaction and realised, oh sh't, it's her. She is becoming... one of them. The dreaded pre-teen. *shudder* It was a sad time for me. I had to let my widdle 10-year-old go a little bit.

PBM: Do you have a person in your life you who love to hate?

-The Flock-
A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises.

reply

Aw, Liz, you know I love you.

To answer your question: Not really. I can talk to almost anyone in my school and hold a friendly conversation. Except the hockey players. *eye twitch*

Oh, there we go. I love to hate the hockey players! All of them. Except one, because he's actually cool.

PBM: How is your day going?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

eh, okay. I'm not really happy about having to go to chemistry soon...

PBM: do you participate in class discussions?

~Flocker
Keep Calm and Ride the Kick.
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

reply

Um....sometimes. I don't really want to get into a discussion if no one else will, you know? But for AP English, the whole class is discussion. And everybody there wants to be there, as opposed to normal English, where you can't have a discussion in class because nobody will talk because nobody wants to be there.

Yeah....that made no sense. The point is, I will participate if I have something to say.

PBM: Are you shy?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

[deleted]

We had the floods in 2007. The city I live in, was amongst the worst affected areas. A Kid died in the local park (about 10 minute walk away). He got swept into a little river and was dragged to his death.

Mind you, it's nothing compared to that gigantic storm over Queensland though.

PBM: How excitable are you? I mean that in the least sexual way possible. As in how easy is it for you to smile and laugh and be jolly and whatnot?

I'm terrible. I've always struggled to laugh and smile. I rarely get excited. Oddly true.

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

reply

Oh, I'm a big smiler. Like, 90% of my day involves me either laughing or smiling in some manner.

Especially after I got my braces off. It was just so easy to smile after my braces came off and there weren't little poky things stopping me from opening my mouth.

But that's besides the point. Basically, I'm usually laughing and smiling and being cheerful with my friends and whatnot.

PBM: Are you generally cheerful? (Timothy, I'm not sure if I answered your question the way you wanted me to.)

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Na, you answered it well.

Me, I'm a cheerful person but in a really odd way. People who don't know me too well, assume that I'm 100% serious about everything. Just the way I look, talk and act. In truth, I've just got an incredibly dry sense of humour. Kind of like Leslie Nielson in the Naked Gun films. So, I don't actually take anything seriously.

PBM: Your dream job?

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

reply

[deleted]

Never. *knocks wood* Yes, I still have both my grandparents etc. I almost lost my uncle a couple of years ago, though. That would have traumatised me if it did happen.

The closest thing I've lost to death is my fish....Actually, that should be plural. So, fishes, or fish(pl).

PBM: Same question.

-The Flock-
A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises.

reply

My dog died last year. The day before All-State auditions. I know, seems dumb, but he was probably the closest family member that's died. My grandparents are all dead, but I only knew two of them, and they all lived in South Carolina.

PBM: Same question.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Both my grandparents on my mum's side died within the last few years, but I wasn't too close to them, even though we looked after my grandfather for 2 years, it was more of a relief when he finally died. My mum and I felt awful admitting this, but it was true. We got our lives back after he lost his.
My friend killed herself a year and a half ago, and I haven't been back to the cinty she was from since. It makes me too sad, and I don't like feeling sad, I don't 'do' it.

PBM: How far would you be willing to go to help a friend?

Shameless Self Promotion
http://uk.youtube.com/user/lovewarpeace

reply

Depends on what they wanted me to do. I would probably be willing to break a law if somebody really, really needed help. Other than that, I don't know. As I said, it depends on the situation.

PBM: Is there anybody in your life that you would die for?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Probably just the immediate family members as it stands. I'll probably save them if they're about to be executed by Nazi's or what have you. Not sure I'd say the same thing, if its anything less serious though.

I can't really think of any others. I mean, friends are all well and good, but I'd rather have them thrown under the bus than myself. I'm selfish that way, you know....

...And continuing with the theme of death..

PBM: How do you think people will react to your death?

Mine: People will be crying their arses off. I can sense it in my bones. They'll be having heart attacks, strokes, and amputations on the spot. In all seriousness, I think people like me. So, I'll assume they'll be devastated when I'm gone. You never know though. You just never know. Maybe they'll be staring at my coffin and shouting expletives "oh, thank *beep*, he's dead, I thought he'd never leave us".

You never know!

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

reply

[deleted]

Tangled. What a happy break from all the death-talk.

PBM: So I was reading the news (cause I'm hardcore) and it prompted me to ask the question: do you think surrogate mothers should become illegal?

-The Flock-
A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises.

reply

nooooo, that's stupid! is that option actually being considered? whaaaat? why the hell would surrogate mothers be illegal? what good would that do when there is ACTUAL crime out there! WHAT?

so, that answers the question, I suppose.

PBM: what gets you fired up?

~Flocker
Keep Calm and Ride the Kick.
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

reply

Oh, many things.

- Girls younger than me dressing like sluts.
- Young teenagers who think they're on top of the world.
- Young teenagers in general.
- Sexualisation of women in the media. Or sexualisation of women, full-stop.
- Irony vs. Coincidence. Learn the difference.
- When someone makes a stupid remark. I have low tolerance when it comes to ignorance.
- The new terms for 'rape'. I don't know if it's everywhere or just in Australia, but the word 'rape' is no longer politically correct.
- Mispronunciation of the English language.

And on the topic of being fired up.... HOW DO YOU SPELL FIRED UP?! - F U!!!

PBM: What made you smile today?

[deleted]

Fabulous, thank you very much. Dude, I'm already feeling a lot better, not eating chocolate and fast food every day. I mean, I wasn't even fat and I feel better about myself! Awesome! I think I'm going to keep this up, because it's wonderful.

Just in case any of you didn't catch it, my New Year's Resolution was a health diet. Not as much fast food and chocolate. I get one "indulgence" day per week (Fridays, because that's treat day in AP English. I just can't resist.) and two fast food meals, due to my unpredictable schedule. One indulgence day (wherein I eat what I wish, as long as there are veggies and fruits in the day somewhere, as well as acceptable servings) a month.

Yep. Pretty good.

PBM: Do you actually make New Year's Resolutions?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I make vast resolutions. this year: do things that make me happy, don't do things that make me unhappy.

PBM: same question.

~Flocker
Keep Calm and Ride the Kick.
I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

reply

[deleted]

Wow, Cal. Going back to the death topic, are we?

Okay. I seriously have no clue. I know how I don't want to die (drowning, strangling, etc.), but no clue how I do. Hmmm....

This will take some thought.

I would like to die doing something good. Don't ask me what. I just don't want to die being useless and in a bed.

PBM: Same question. That's a toughie.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Old age.
Suck on that grim reaper!

PBM: What is/are your most anticipated novel(s) for 2011?

My mum's is better ~The Flock~ Team JEJ4TV
You had me at sex tape

reply

Oh, meaty question. Hmmm....

-Harry Potter 7: Part 2. I will cry. Guaranteed.
- Jane Eyre. I heard the book was dead-sh't boring and I saw another version of it and didn't really like it but MEH. Michael Fassbender calls to me.
- Immortals
- The Tree of Life
- The Hangover 2
- The Smurfs. Heh.
- The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo
- X-Men: First Class

I'm also trembling with excitement for The Avengers and Spiderman and The Dark Knight Rises, coincidentally all superhero movies, but they come out in 2012. *sigh*

Oh, and how could I forget Breaking D-- never mind.

PBM: Saaame question.

-The Flock-
A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises.

reply

Wait, novels or movies?

I'll do both. Novels:
Angel (haha)
City of Fallen Angels (kind of)
Ghost Story by Jim Butcher
I don't know what else comes out this year. Depressing, no?

And then for movies:
Harry Potter 7 part 2. Obviously
Dark Knight Rises or whatever it's called, the next Batman movie.
Whatever X-Men is out this year
I don't know what else. What year is this again?

PBM: What genre do you like, for movies?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Oh woops! For shame. I didn't read the question properly.

-The Flock-
A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises.

reply

It's okay, Liz.

Now you can answer mine.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I specifically love films that are about life. The ones that are quite packed in terms of a story, but are sprinkled with symbolism and dark themes. Yeah, I know, how pretentious. I also love movies based on comic book heroes.

But of course I like other genres. I can watch anything except horror and overly fluffy and cliché chick flicks.

PBM: Name a movie that you used to love, but now you hate. Because of an epiphany or something.

-The Flock-
A sword day, a red day, ere the sun rises.

reply

I don't completely hate them, but the Spiderman trilogy has started to grate. Even the second one, I find unbelievably cheesy. Too happy for my liking. To put it into perspective, I actually found The Dark Knight too cheesy as well. But, I'm a hard man to please as you all know.

PBM: Exactly the same question. Exactly the same.

Definitely Pirates of the Caribbean. I wish it died after the first movie. That was by far the best. I saw the other two at the cinemas and that was it. Never again. I just pretend they don't exist.

reply

Black Swan, The Fighter, Inception, Winters Bone, Toy Story 3, The King's Speech, 127 hours, The Kids are All Right, True Grit and The Social Network.

I've seen The Fighter; Awesome, cheesy, uplifting film. My favourite out of the nominees that I've seen.

Inception; Thrilling spectacle that's a bit sh!t at the same time.

The Social Network; I liked this film a lot. Such a classy, engrossing production.

127 Hours; Top quality stuff.

PBM: Got any embarrassing tales to tell?

I once went to the doctors to have my balls checked out for any lumps. It was an enlightening experience. Best feeling in the world after I'd left the room. The feeling of amnesia and never remembering what the man did to me....

Um....okay....

Not really. None off the top of my head, anyways.

PBM: Do you have siblings and do they drive you insane?
(Because mine does!!!)

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I do, and sometimes they drive me insane. My little sister drives me insane when she's impolite, i.e. doesn't say please or thank you. I refuse to even acknowledge her if she says something like, "Gimme fish bowl." And my brother drives me insane when he's a lazy lard or when he's being a total girl.

But to be honest, I don't mind my siblings. My sister can be like my best friend sometimes, and my brother and I can tell each other stupid, meaningless stories. It's good because we're both able to pretend like we care about what the other has to say. It's all mutual.

BRY!!!!! *tackles* Check your PMs. You're hardly here anymore, and it makes me sad.

Anyway. Good question. Um....besides spiders, I'd have to think.

Okay. I'm scared (you old regs, you might remember this) of being trapped. Stuck. Like, physically and metaphorically. You know, literally stuck in a small space, unable to move, etc. etc., but also just stuck in general. My example is those women you hear about, who got married and pregnant right after high school, so they've never had a job, and have no money. They're stuck in a marriage like that. I don't think that makes a lot of sense, but that's my biggest fear. Being stuck.

PBM: What's your biggest fear?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

My biggest fear is to be absolutely powerless, psychically and metaphorically (to copy Elizabeth with the phrasing there)
I have recurring nightmares of being attacked and being unable to inflict any pain on my attacker even though I'm using up all my strength.
I am terrified of having no power or control over my life, and I hate to give other people any form of power over me by having them know details about me that I feel will give them some sort of advantage should they ever want to use it against me.
I am also, at the moment, scared of being completely unlovable, given the sh't that's going on in my life, with friends, family and males. I honestly think there might be something fundamentally wrong with me.

PBM: Do you have any memorable dreams?

I remember this one where I was flirting with Scarlet Johansson, but I think I've told that one before. Another one; skating down a massive hill. Not being able to run quick enough and then waking up with a silent scream. Hilariously daft dream.

Hello Elizabeth! I'm around, but I'm not around at the same time. The world has officially grabbed my body and soul and doesn't want to let go. So, I'm making the most of my time on these boards, which is limited.

My goals. Generally speaking, to enjoy myself. And it's not as naughty as that sounds either. I have had trouble getting my spirits up as of late and I'm trying my hardest to see the light in the darkness that has enveloped me.

So what I'm going to do, is to go out, have fun and kick some major ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PBM: Same question

Aw, sad. Well, we miss you here, and we're glad you're here at least sometimes.

Career Ed. Boring and useless. As you can tell, I still know nothing about what I want my career to be, what I want to major in, what I want to do with my life, or even what I want to do after high school. Which makes Career Ed (in ninth grade) a pointless class that needs to be taken out of the curriculum. Period. Exclamation point.

PBM: Do you like school?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I hated it. I don't respond well to structured or enforced education. I love learning new things and having the equipment and time to do so, but when it's forced on you and you're made to feel inadequate for not getting all A*s I just chose to not do work at all.
My brain works in a special way, as soon as someone tells me I need to do something, I refuse to do it, even if I was going to do it our of choice. I resent being forced to do anything.
I have to go to a pretentious awards ceremony for my old school nect month, and I am dreading it. I didn't like the people when I was at school, so I am not going to pretend to like them now.

PBM: What do you do when you're stressed?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

I punch things. Punch pillows, cushions, walls...everything other than people, cause I'm too damn polite!!

Oh, you mean, what do I do to combat stress? In which case, I think about something nice like Olivia Wilde and then pretend that I was sitting next to her. Sitting next to her, smelling her beautiful fragrance and admiring her voluptuous booty....

PBM: If you could live the life of one celebrity, who would it be?

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

Um....in all honesty, I wouldn't trade places with any celebrity. The constant coverage of your life is just depressing. If I had to, I would say Britney Spears, because I've always wondered what actually goes on in her head.

PBM: Same question. (Good one, Timothy)

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

...
I don't really know. I don't really want to trade lives with a celebrity. I can think of a few people who aren't celebs.

though I guess the person who's famous that I'd like to trade places with would end up being someone like Emma Thomas, though she isn't a celebrity or anything. Her and Christopher Nolan are married, and a power couple. He writes and directs the movies; she produces them. it's amazing, I want to have a relationship like that in about twenty years.

Paul, it wasn't particularly good.
I really want to see Unknown, I've already seen the ending (I see the endings of all films, it's the perils of my job) and didn't understand it, which means the film isn't ruined for me!

I went to see Unknown. Mostly because they won't let me into R-rated movies (of course they asked to see my ID. Do I really look that young?), but also because, come on, Liam Neeson. I am so in love with his voice.

Anyway. Lucky I got this question and not, say, Cal or Timothy....Pads. Easier to use.

PBM: What's something weird and random about you that we may not know? If it's embarrassing, you don't have to say it....unless, of course, you want to.

Mmmm.... I don't listen to movie scores themselves often, they need to work with the movie as well. However, I do like several: the Harry Potter soundtrack is always really good (especially the seventh one), Lord of the Rings of course, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Just off the top of my head.

Picking at my nails. I didn't notice until I was ten and my mother told me I had to stop. It was just something I did.

Also playing with my hair, back when it was really long. I would sit there in class and while I was writing notes with one hand I would play with my hair with the other. Somebody commented on that, and apparently people took that to mean anyone could play with my hair, so once a lot of other random people started touching my head, I quit. Well, I don't do it as much. Mostly when I'm concentrating on something.

PBM: Strangest thing one of your teachers has done?

I had to ask cause some of my teachers are pretty strange. I just got out of science were my teacher was asking the clock where it's homework was. And she was doing it in all seriousness too.

reply

Oh, I have a good one. So, last week, in anatomy, we finished a test. So we were sitting and chilling out for the last ten minutes of class, and several girls had their iPods out, playing a game. The teacher asks, "What are you girls doing?" They replied, "Playing a game. It's called 'Words with Friends.'" The teacher whips out his iPod and says, "Add me. Let's play."

It was a special moment. You just don't expect teachers to do that.

PBM: Do you get nervous?

Words with Friends!!! I love Scrabble so the Scrabble purist side of me scoffed at it, but I can't say that it isn't addictive.

Um, YES. It's pretty ridiculous, the extent of my nervousness. I used to have stage-fright like no one's business, but it's better now. When I was younger I'd bawl my eyes out before every gymnastics competition or piano exam.

3: are sitting infront of me in the class room and keep turning around to tell me to "help them on their work" and by that they mean email them the answers.
4: are sitting beside me in class and keep giving me weird looks to get a reaction out of me.
5: keep asking me to hurry up and finish my water so they can use my bottle to spit in.\
6: yell "hey boy! hey boy! hey boy!" across the class room at each other then turn to me "hey girl! hey girl! got your work done yet?"

ok, sorry, it just seemed like a perfect PBM to answer because all of this is going on right now.

PBM: same question: I hate it when people...

I hate it when people:
1. Are stupid. For any reason. Well, stupid and unreasonable. Stupid and unreasonable and unwilling to be fair. You know what? When people are anything.
(I kind of hate people right now.)
2. Are in an Advanced Placement class and still come to class with excuses for why their homework isn't done.
3. Are overly loud or obnoxious for no reason.
4. Talk about me like I'm not there.
5. Decide that nobody matters except for them. They are the only ones that count, and God damn you if you aren't going to listen to them.
6. Talk about their fabulous sexual and romantic life while I'm there.
7. Stereotype.
8. The list goes on and on and on....

Ugh. I know perfectly well why I don't sleep sometimes. It's just something I can't do a lot about. Might tell you guys, but not tonight

PBM: How do you decorate your room?

I've recently started buying magazines like Dolly and Girlfriend for the sole purpose of getting posters to decorate my new room. I used to love these magazines, but now I feel too old for them. I'm not sure if this means I'm too old to have posters all over my walls, but whatever! I'm 20, that's not too old... right?

I've got small posters of 'hot people'

Next to my bed: Penn Badgely, Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, The Vampire Diaries, Selena Gomez, Chord Overstreet.

Across the room (because they're close ups!)
Robert Pattinson, Leighton Meester, Logan Lerman.

Then I've got like four Short Stack ones. And a Short Stack one on the front of my door, haha.

A Callan McAuliffe article and a Short Stack article in front of the ironing board (hey, I get bored!)

A giant Mark Salling poster.

And an even bigger Justin Bieber poster. Like, life size. Honestly, I wasn't going to put this one up, cos I thought it was kind of stupid, but I was like what the hell. After it was up, I realised the poster kept scaring me, because I'd see it out of the corner of my eye and think someone was standing in my doorway (cos it's on the back of the door). So I left it up. It makes life more interesting. Plus, I think he's kind of iconic and I respect his talent. So why shouldn't I leave him up?

Sorry this was kind of long but I just wanted to write on this board. I missed it!

Wow. Where do I begin with that one.

Um....one of the weirdest (was weird enough for me to remember) was one I had a couple of months ago, where my sister and my dad and I were all driving in our car. Not sure where we were going, but we were close to my sister's elementary school. All of a sudden, all of these giant....stuffed animals attacked. Like, big-ass flamingos and dogs and cats. And there were other toys too, but mostly stuffed animals. Some stuff went down....we hid in my sister's school....and then we got back in the car and started driving again. We got stuck on railroad tracks, and this giant electric thing was walking towards the tracks, so we freaked out and couldn't get the doors open. Then it turned out not to electrocute us because we were in the car, which was on tires, which are made of rubber, and rubber isn't a conductor of electricity or something.

And then I woke up.

Now, to answer your question (interesting question, by the way). I think that someone can become gay, due to past experiences or whatever. I personally don't believe that anyone is born gay, I think they become gay. And I'm actually basing this off of something too: Prostitutes, to use an example, are very often lesbian. Why? Probably because of their experiences with men.

Please note: That is NOT saying that gay people can fix who they are, or whatever the anti-gay argument is this week. I am not anti-gay. I'm just saying I don't think you're born like that. It's all in the mind or something, and I don't think you're born with intelligence, right? It's constantly developing.

PBM: Where do you see yourself in five years?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

5 years from now. I genuinely don't have a clue. Although I do have two fairly realistic scenarios:

1. I'll have a stable job, a girlfriend who doesn't want to kill me. An apartment of sorts, probably rented. Drifting in and out of the mundaneness of life with a smile on my face.

2. I become a drug dealer. Get involved in a lot of shootouts, get injured. Recover and decide that I want to move to Tijuana, Mexico. When I get there, I see and befriend a guy named Raul who takes me to the local drug lord. I charm him and once he dies, I inherit his empire. Money, power, respect. My friend ordered some type of spinach/ goat cheese pizza :/ So I tried a bit and *shudders*. It was pretty bad.

Nope. I rarely trip (watch me trip over my chair once I get up, haha) and I don't knock stuff over.

PBM: Are you electronically challenged? (I broke my printer this weekend by pressing the print button, so.....)

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I'm pretty atrocious with gadgets. Everyone expects me to be some sort of geek machine, with a wealth of knowledge in regards to technology. Nothing could be further from the truth. In terms of computers, the only things I know are to use the keyboard, move the mouse and stare at the monitor.

Everything else, I'm not good. My phone is pretty high end but I managed to put myself on an expensive contract cause I'm gullible.

Video games is one subject area that I'm pretty electronically sound on. But, even then, I'm not a PC Gamer. So I'm not in the upper tiers of the nerd land.

And I do keep breaking everything. I've had 3 mouse in the past 2 months....about 4 different phones (1 got mugged in front of my very eyes)...so yeah, I'm a bit in the middle, I suppose.

Wow, I am in a talky mood.

PBM: Which actor/actress do you think is the greatest of all time?

Robert De Niro for me. His earlier work is absolutely stunning. Films like Taxi Driver and Raging Bull. Oh my goodness, this guy could act.

I wore some tight pyjama type things to university. They didn't fit me too well. Something that looks like this:

http://www.jdsports.co.uk/product/nike-contender-fleece-pants/49174/

I had a presentation to give. Was stood in front of about 15 people. Made eye contact with this beautiful girl and then....funny things started to happen 'downstairs'. If you know what I mean!!!

It was alright though, I did not get a full stiffie....it was...middle-ish....excuse my language. Nobody laughed...I heard little giggles, but nothing too much. Because I'm a bit scary in real life nobody dares to laugh.

Thankfully the beautiful girl in question was a complete airhead and was none the word wiser about what just happened.

PBM: What's your favourite planet?

Weird question. It would be easy to say Uranus, but we've all been there before!!

I'm going to say Neptune cause it looks so blue and massive and icey and that.

I wish I did it more often, but I live on the same river as the city so the bloody lights get in the way. But during my last Duke of Ed trip, we all lay against a log beside a campfire and watched the stars for a while. Despite the fact that I was far away from the fire and freezing my damn arse off, that was the first time I ever saw a shooting star. *eyes glitter* It was a magical moment.

Now that I've answered that question, I hope you didn't mean the flower or the fish or some other type of 'stargazer' that I'm not aware of.

I'm going to be fairly controversial here. I could have said someone really easy like Shia La Beouf or Adam Sandler....truth is I've never really hated them.

My answer; Halle Berry.

I used to admire her. Saw her in Swordfish and Monsters Ball, thought she was terrific in that. The latter one especially. The former one, for other reasons..

Now though. I find her boring. I don't know. Her performances in the X men films are pretty bad. I never really noticed it before but she's really bad.

"You know what happens to toads when lightning strikes? The same thing that happens to everything else.." Ahhhhhhhhhh...script writers fault but her delivery is awful as well...

Maybe I admired her, cause she was good looking. However, now I realised that I was lured in by the devil!!!!! That biatch!!

PBM: What's your guilty pleasure from T.V or Film?

Ok, Ok. This really difficult for me to admit this. You have no idea how much this scares me. Two shows, that I'll profess to seeing: The Hills and One Tree Hill.

The Hills, I've seen more than a couple of episodes and sadly enjoyed the stupendously shallow nature of everybody involved.

One Tree Hill....Why the hell did I watch this again....the girls, I suppose. Yeah that must be it. Has nothing to do with the mesmerising storylines and the tear jerking events that shape the lives of these wonderful high schoolers.

I'm done now...

I almost said Disney classics, but I stopped myself, for no one should feel guilty for watching Beauty and the Beast at home with her little sister on a Friday night!!

--The Flock--

reply

[deleted]

Time Warp! I love that song.

I don't know that it's my favourite song at the moment, but it brings back good memories.

Maybe Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles, because it's so happy. It makes me want to smile. I don't know. I have a headache. I'm going to take some ibuprofen.

PBM: What's on your iPod? You can name anything you want--bands, genres, specific songs....

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

The music on my ipod is ridiculously varied. Ranges from full blown cheesy spectaculars to bass heavy drug induced head bangers. Some of the stuff:

A band called Ladytron and particularly this song called predict the day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7G8sC2qBGJE

The bass on that song is mental.

Yasmin-on my own:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsNBQJEofQM

This song and the lyrics remind me of someone whom I had a massive crush on. And the girl in question was seriously pretty. Nearly as pretty as the one in the video. Who's clearly very hot. I could've had that girl...ahhhhh...not Yasmin...I'm talking about that damn girl...damn...damn. Adorable bitch!

James Ingram- A better day: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOjv_aDmTLY

From the Beverly hills cop 2 soundtrack. A song guaranteed to cheer you up!!!

Splinter cell double agent soundtrack: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j4zwqXIDzDU&feature=related

Such a cool track. Play this loud and feel that adrenaline surge. It's also living proof that computer game soundtracks are the bomb!!!

PBM: Have you ever wanted something that you knew, you could never get? What was it?

Recently, for me, it's been girls. Certain girls who are clearly way out of my league. Not just in terms of looks but personality as well. Have I become a little pussy whipped? I think I may have. So, it's about time I restrained my feelings and desired something else. A mansion or a gorilla or something.

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

reply

That's right, Timothy. You go after that gorilla. I'm not going to stop you.

To answer your question: Yes....but it's a little obscure. Fair warning.

I guess what I want, and what I can't have, is to be amazing at something, and to know exactly what I'll do and what I'll be because I'm so amazing at it. Like this kid I know is a fabulous cellist. He knows exactly what he wants to do, because he's so awesome at it that it's pretty much required for him to be a cellist. I would like that--to be so awesome at something that there are no doubts about what I will do with my future. I wish my future was just laid out in front of me like that.

PBM: Same question. Good question.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Hmmm, well looking at it one way it would be something dumb like a type of car that is this color. But looking at it as an overall thing in life I'd have to say something I wanted but could never have is that I could go back and fix some stuff in my life. A time machine! That is what I would want! I don't think I'm going to go into great detail and tell you exactly what I want to fix, but if I could go back a year or two in life, that would be amazing.

PBM: Same question. I like it. Makes you think.

So there you go. If you can put up with me, and make me laugh when I'm down, I'm yours.

PBM: Do you have a lot of friends, or a few very close friends?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

A few close friends whom I can rely upon in case I'm getting buggered. I've never been one to get to intimate with people outside of the group we have. Nothing gay about the group or against other humans but I'm a defensive person by my very nature. As such, I have commitment trouble outside of said group.

PBM: How long do you think you've got to live?

For some reason, I believe that I'm going to die earlier than expected. Now this isn't due to suicidal thoughts, of which I have none. It's just this odd feeling that I have.

I mean, about a month two ago I was mugged and threatened. Before that, somebody tried to kill me by throwing a bottle at me! It can only escalate...I still wanna live though!!!!!!! I still want to feel alive!!!!!!!!

PBM: Fictional character that you connect or identify with?

Thank you, Bry, for getting us off the train of death.

Um....well, I never feel like I can connect or identify fully with a character. There are certain aspects of them that I can concur with, or certain feelings they have that I can empathize with. I rarely--actually, never--connect with a whole character.

Probably the closest was--I know, I know, cliche--Gemma from A Great and Terrible Beauty. All the doubts and worries and stresses she carried? Not knowing what she wanted to do with herself, wanting to be as beautiful as the people around her, wanting to fit in with everybody else, not wanting to do what others wanted her to do--I can identify with all that. What I can't identify with is being tall. If only.

PBM: Same question (good question, Bry.)

Felicity Worthington, from AGATB, we are sometimes creepily similar.
Also Cassandra Mortmain from I Capture the Castle parallels aspects of my life and myself at the moment. Those two are the main ones. Also, weirdly, Cassandra was played by Romola Garai in the film adaptation, who is used a lot to portray Felicity in fanvids for AGATB, and who I look quite similar to, just skinnier.
When I was younger, I looked like Romola's little sister. It. Was. Weird.

Went home, got stuff around for school cause yesterday was the last day of spring break :-/

PBM: Is your best friend just like you, or opposite?

--The Flock--

Which one?

No, I'll just answer for one. She's totally the opposite: I'm kind of mingler, I love talking to people, I have tons of friends, I am pretty cheerful and usually smiling; she's a drifter and doesn't talk to anybody, nor does she have tons of friends, just a couple of close friends, and she's not particularly cheery either. And she rarely smiles.

I love her anyway.

PBM: When at parties, are you a mingler and talk to everybody, or do you stay in one spot and talk to one person?

reply

Um, well it depends on the party really. If it's one of my best friends parties and there are just a few close friends there, I'd talk to everyone.
But your probably talking about big parties with lots of people. I normally just stick around my friends. I don't just like, stand in the corner ignoring people, but I don't go over and dance (my dancing is horrible!) and socialize with people I don't really know.

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

Timothy, I'll forgive your momentary lapse in manliness.

Um, that's a good question. I look up to a lot of people for different reasons. I look up to my mother, for dealing with what she does every day and not quitting. I look up to my dad, for the same basic reason. I look up to several of my teachers for various reasons. My friends. My neighbours. My dog....well, not my dog so much.

If I had to pick one, I would say a good friend of mine. Because she knows exactly what she wants to do--she's going to be an exchange student, and then she's going to major in Music Ed. at Concordia and minor in performance. She knows exactly what her plans are, and since I am exactly the opposite--no plan, no goal, just living life day by day--I admire her greatly for it.

British T.V is pretty horrendous for the most part.

We have things like Diagnosis Murder and Murder She wrote on every day, to please our elderly folk. Whom I suspect would turn into psychopathic serial killers if they swapped the programmes for something newer.

But, those shows are masterpieces in comparison to some of this new age sh!t. Like a show called, 'The only way is Essex'. I caught a glimpse of it...and I feel like I need to take two showers and visit a priest to wipe away the sins now. It's like as if they bottled up all of what is wrong with society and put it one deliciously terrible T.V Show. See for yourself the horror. The horror!:

Intriguing subject matter.

I think that there's something out there. Something we are incapable of fully understanding.

Also, the idea of Heaven and Hell strikes me as being more realistic, than a meaningless existence. That we're just floating around, waiting for death and the end just doesn't seem right. There must be more. The fact that we're born in the first place is amazing. So, why would it be a shock to die and be raised again? To me, it wouldn't.

I mean, everything has a purpose. This desk's purpose is to keep hold of sh!t like the computer. The idea, that on the biggest issue for us humans;life..that we don't have a purpose. It's all random chance. That makes no sense to me.

PBM: Your favourite soundtrack for a movie/game or anything else?

Mine has to be the Silent Hill games. The soundtracks are ridiculously freaky and epic. This song is quite uplifting as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZfH0pxXPx4

Edit: I just realised, I put the wrong song up!! here's the uplifitng one:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHPWrGoHTZ4
It's still quite haunting, but reasonably uplifting.

Also, I dare you to turn off the lights, turn the sound up and put this following trailer for Silent Hill 4 in fullscreen. It's the scariest trailer in exisitence. If you don't piss your pants, you're not human: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIZlIQKquNk

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

reply

Interesting idea of uplifting you have there, Timothy.

I love soundtracks. I love them. In my opinion, the music often makes the movie.
Some of my favourites:
Pirates of the Caribbean
Harry Potter
The Mummy
The Birds (hehe, I'm kidding)
Oblivion (video game)
Yeah, my brain is fried from studying for finals. I can't think of any more right now.

PBM: Could you kill someone?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I made a mistake with the uplifting song. I linked the depressing one instead!

On the question: the way I feel right now, I believe I could kill.

The turning point for me, has definitely been since I was mugged by two guys a couple of months ago. At the time, I handled the situation in a confident 'victims' way. Obedient and submissive almost in a bizarrely jovial manner. But, right now, if it happened again, I don't think I could control my inner rage. I'd have no problem fighting the guys to death.

It's due to the guilt that seeps in. It took a couple of days to really hit home. When it did, it hit like hammer to the head. Made me realise that life is pretty fragile.

Since the mugging, I've gained about 10lbs. I used to weigh around 140lbs and I've checked recently and I'm closer to 152lbs. Mainly muscle, a little fat. I think I feel a lot more confident in myself and my own abilities to kick arse. So, yeah, I think I could, without guilt now.

Good question.

PBM: Same one

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

reply

I really don't know. I'd have to be in a situation where it's kill or be killed to know for sure, you know? Because I can't give an answer without having "been there".

I don't know if I would do what was necessary, or not, or what. I just....really don't know. I kind of hope I don't find out.

PBM: What's a song that always makes you smile?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Hmm.. A song that always makes me smile, I like Those Nights by Skillet. It's a good song about friendship and what not.

Oh and to answers Cal's question on why I got grounded, I broke the no boys in my room rule
My dad is kinda iffy about the whole boy subject. He'll prob freak when I head off to college.

PBM: Can you cook?

--The Flock--

reply

Eh, I can cook if it takes less than 15 minutes. Which leaves me with PB and J, salad, soup from the can, macaroni and cheese, and frozen pizza. But may I say, I kick ass at all of those.

PBM: What is your favourite meal?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

[deleted]

Oh, God. My memory sucks so bad that my childhood memories have all conglobulated into a massive upchuck. Chances are that memories that I claim happened when I was two actually happened when I was five or six and vice versa. So I'm just going to take a wild stab and say my earliest memory was drinking coconut juice with my mum at a bar in the centre of a pool in god knows where.

PBM: What is one thing that will completely turn you off being friends with someone?

-The Flock-
Where the f--- are my hard-boiled eggs?

reply

Um....not much, actually. I'll be friends with most anyone, or at least amiable. I guess an inability to pay attention to people would be a pretty big turn-off. Oh, and using me. Do not use me, because that pisses me off. Also being all clingy and needy.

Of course, I have a friend right now who is all three of those, so there you are.

PBM: Do you enjoy rain?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Most days I love rain! I'm one of those weirdo's that go skipping across the yard when it rains.
Also riding four wheelers in the rain is fun, you get muddy.... lol.

PBM: What is your favorite time of year?

--The Flock--

reply

I used to be one of them weirdos who preferred the cold, dark nights of the winter. However, since I became a little older and little wiser (strokes chin) I've realised that I must have been completely high. Clearly the summer is the best time period. Beautiful weather, beautiful people in very limited clothing. Or in the case of us people in England: Bad weather and ugly people in massive overcoats!

PBM: Are you the type of person who knows how to celebrate? Or are you more introverted?

I'm in the latter category. I've come to the conclusion that I'm so cynical that I struggle to celebrate happiness in any form. It's hilarious. I've just got a new job recently. I should be out getting smashed and kicking up a storm in the city centre. Instead, I feel dilapidated. Befuddled at the lack of excitement that I'm feeling. Madness.

I don't mind having a party, but I'm not going to go all out and crazy. I'm very reserved--I don't let myself do much.

PBM: Do you like to party?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

What kind of party are we talking? If you mean a big party with a ton of people, not really. I go to them and hang out with friends but I'm not all about hanging out at a party for three hours watching people dance to extremely loud music and get ahead ache.

If you mean a party with close friends then yes! Me and my friends have the weirdest parties. (Well we call them parties anyways). We had a lego and match box car party, an haunted party, and of course, the normal bday parties.

PBM: Movies or TV Shows?

--The Flock--

reply

Um....really depends on the content. I'll take a good movie over a crappy show, and a good show over a crappy movie. Really doesn't matter to me.

PBM: Do you listen to music extremely loudly?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Not really. I listen to music with earphones, except when with people who know me really well. Don't ask why; it's weird. Something about randoms listening to my music irks me. Anyway, I do turn it up if I'm trying to drown out background noise, or when I'm obsessed with the song. But I think I'm pretty sensible when it comes to music.

Unlike my brother... sucks that his music taste is so different to mine.

PBM: What's your relationship like with your parents? You don't have to go all deep, but just in general.

-The Flock-

Um, okay, I guess. Pretty good. Somewhat distant--we don't communicate very often or well.

PBM: Same question. I'm too tired to think of another.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

My relationship with my Mom isn't bad, we just don't really talk about much ya'know. We sit and watch TV and joke. My relationship with my Dad is great. We hang out a lot and I've ditched my friends before to go do something with him.

PBM: What is your favorite color.

Lame I know, I can't think of anything right now

Yellow. Any yellow. Bright yellow, usually. The brightest, most obnoxious yellow you can find.

But mostly any yellow.

PBM: Same question. (Hey, I just spent 6 hours smiling at children. I refuse to think of anything else right now)

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

6 hours smiling at children...if I did that I'd get done for paedophilia.....oh geez, I've gone all adult and immature.......

My favourite colour is red. Deep, sensuous red. Not because girls look good in it, but because cars look good in it. I saw a Ferrari 458 Italia close up and its pure sex for the eyes. The only time I've looked at a car and turned into a little giddy fan girl.. . It's ridiculously beautiful:

http://parisworkingforart.files.wordpress.com/2010/06/ferrari-458-ital ia-1-lg.jpg

PBM: A dilemma. You are given $100,000,000. But you are told that you have to become a fugitive to keep the money. Would you take it and give up your current lifestyle? Or would you keep things the way they are now?

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

Heh, funny you should mention that, Timothy. This guy was there being Alex the Cat, and he was complaining about how he felt like a pedophile because little kids were hugging his crotch.

For a million dollars? Nope. I don't really need a million dollars, and I'd rather not be running for my life for a long time either.

PBM: Do heaven and hell exist?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Oof. Treading in deep water now, eh Elizabeth? :P Um, I've been brought up to believe that they do exist, but I disagree with some of the reasons why some people 'deserve to go to hell'. I want to believe that there is a heaven, only because I'm only human and all we want is more of everything, so plain old death isn't really an option here. :P

PBM: Did you also throw up in your mouth a bit at the IMDb front page? There's Breaking Dawn in the banner, twice in the side bar and twice in the body. FVCK!

And now for the actual question: what's a good, humourous site for procrastination? (I'm supposed to be doing a mathematical modelling portfolio and it is as odious as it sounds.)

-The Flock-
Where the f--- are my hard-boiled eggs?

reply

I don't actually go on the front page, because I follow the links from my email, but once you mentioned it and I went to go look, yes, I did throw up in my mouth. Disgusting. And then I watched the trailer, and laughed, and then I cried a little because there are people who actually enjoy that.

As for procrastination sites, I wish. Omegle can be kind of amusing, especially if you end up with a troll.

Thanks, Cal.

I'm kind of in-between right now. There are some movies that are great on Blu-Ray....and then there are some that really don't need to be upgraded. It just depends on the movie.

PBM: Seen any good movies lately?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I've been re-watching films lately. I saw Rambo again and it blew my head off. Not one I'd recommend for this board though.

The last film I saw was Triangle (3rd time now). Not particularly well known, this Brit flick deserves your attention. On the face of it, it seems like a straightforward horror flick but as the film goes along it twists and turns into a completely different animal. I'd give it a 9/10 cause it hooked me in like mad.

Suspenseful, gripping, surreal and surprisingly intelligent. If you like films like Inception and The Shining, definitely watch this film. It's awesome. Especially, you guy and gals on this board, who have a slightly more active imagination than Neanderthals like myself. You should love it:

Kidding. I don't know. I have several. Let's just go with Wolfenstein.

PBM: Are you a gamer?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

An emphatic yes. I have been a gamer for about 17 years now. Ever since I got my hands on my first hand held. It was this little game called Smashtv. Top down shooter. Addicted there and then.

I've re-ignited my passion for all things gaming since I broke up and lost the job. Used to play on and off while I was with that woman...her...who I still feel like punching......Been catching up gaming wise and am currently playing Assassins Creed 2. Oddly beautiful game with an intriguing story.

But my new job starts in a couple of days time, so my social life will inevitably pick up. Leading to a reduction in gaming hours. Maybe I'll even meet somebody 'special' as well. For a night or two obviously!!! Don't want to commit myself to anybody again for a long fvcking time.

I've gone off topic...

PBM: Which videogames are you looking forward to?

Assassins Creed Revelations. Check out this trailer...even if you hate videogames, this is just an awesome, awesome trailer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMeN_BDgF6g

Also, Mass Effect 3. Has to be an epic ending to the trilogy. Intelligent gaming at its finest.
Battlefield 3. Take one look at this and piss yourselves. Looks amazing.

Really not looking forward to any video games. It just seems like all the new ones are going to end up being massive balls of fail.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Um... I stood glumly in the corner while my 18-year-old brother picked me up from the library and dragged me around the shopping centre getting excited over striped t-shirts and scarves... I had to keep reminding myself that yes, he has a girlfriend. He is heterosexual.

Um, that I have Facebook.
I'm sure that doesn't count.

PBM: Same question.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I've found out that I have the ability to scare the crap out of people without even trying. It seems to stem from my humour. I have a pretty warped sense of humour which could be mistaken for insanity. When in fact, I'm just kidding around. I talk about killing myself, having sex with animals, chopping myself up into bits and pieces all the time.

Case in point, today I was coughing my ass off. I then turned around and told some colleagues of mine, that I've got lung cancer. Deadpan without changing expression. They looked at me completely shocked and in disbelief. For those mili seconds they believed that I had cancer!! I had to step in and tell them I was only fvcking joking!!

Why are people's sarcasm detectors so far removed? Just boggles the mind.

PBM: How long have you been on IMDB?

5 years now for me. 3 years of aimlessly wandering around. The last 2 years or so have been very entertaining though, as I've settled on The Expendables(2) board. Which is without a doubt, the strangest message board on the net. It's basically a board full of trolls who have a weird sense of unity going on.

Plenty of backbiting, in-fighting, testosterone fuelled conversations about manliness and pussiness.

By the way, it feels good to be around this board again. Haven't been around for a month or so. I have no idea why as well.

Ellen Page - good choice, my good man. And Natalie Portman? Mmmm, she's at the top of my women celebrity crushes. Followed closely by Marion Cotillard.

AAAANYway, I'm obsessed (and I mean obsessed) with Jesse Eisenberg. Yeah... his physicality makes him cute in a nerdy way, but his personality strangely turns me the f-ck on. Seriously, I can't get enough of some of the absolutely ridiculous things that he says. And now whenever I see his face, my ovaries explode. And HEY, Tyra Banks (as if her opinion really really matters) agrees: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGc9JDiI7dA

Oh, and Michael Fassbendmeover is pretty damn sexy. Like, a lot damn sexy. In that masculine, sizzling way. And on that not, yes X-Men was exceptional. I love it so much. I really really hope the lackluster box-office doesn't stop them from making another movie.

Oh it's ok, Liz, Me and Cal are men of the strongest variety and yet we're contemplating this question in an intensely serious manner. You're not as weird as you think you are. Or as weird as us or that Jesse guy.

It's funny that you guys are mentioning X Men:First Class. That's the only film I've seen from this entire year of 2011. And yes, it did deserve to do better than it did. Whilst not a classic by any means, it was heavily entertaining.

My choice for a celebrity crush actually starred in X Men:First Class as well. Sadly, it's not Michael Fassbender or James McAvoy...in case any of you gay readers were wondering.

She's someone whom I've quietly ogled at for the past couple of years but never really went ballistic over: Rose Byrne. Seeing her in her underwear for those couple of sweet minutes in X Men though...made me feel something I haven't felt in a long time..a sense of comfort and joy on the inside. (of wanting to fvck her senseless!!....Sorry...I...couldn't help say what I really meant...)

PBM: This is such a girly question, but who's the best looking celebrity around?

PBM: Ever been in a physical fight? If so, over what (make it exciting)? If not, would you want to be in one?

-The Flock-
Where the f--- are my hard-boiled eggs?

I'm the peaceful type. I was the type of guy who stood in the middle breaking up fights rather than creating them.

I remember getting into one half of a fight. It was basically some guy who thought he could push me, I pushed him back. He was impressed by my strength and bizarrely shook hands. We were friends after that. God, I'm such diplomat aren't I?

PBM: What is the most exciting thing that's happened to you in the last couple of days or years?

I broke up. Seriously, it was emotionally devastating whilst being extremely entertaining at the same time. It was like an episode of CSI without any actual murders occurring. Lots of puzzling over things, assessing things. A lot of looks and stares. Sudden bursts of excited anger. The break up lasted over a period of a week of on and off again conversations. In the end, I decided.

Cause I'm the man!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Uh, well, I came back!!! Yeah, seriously cannot believe how long this has just been SITTING there....

So anyway. Most exciting thing to happen to me in the last couple weeks was definitely my skating test. One good, one bad, both exciting. I passed my freeskate (about damn time) but I fell on my hip during my dance warm-up which consequently made me fall on my dance test. Then I had to skate my moves right after that, and I mean RIGHT after that. Definitely exciting.

PBM: Um....What movie are you currently obsessing over?
(Moulin Rouge! Saw it two weeks ago! Died!)

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Welcome back Elizabeth! Dear God in heaven, this place has become so quiet. I can almost hear the echoes in the background as I type these words.

Film that I'm obsessing over? It's the upcoming film, Drive. Stars Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP3XTerF7nM

A couple of reasons why I'm going crazy over this film;

Firstly, it's a crime thriller. My favourite genre in the whole wide world. It's low budget, meaning no CGI and shot in real world locations (LA in this case). No massive A lister's involved (although Carey Mulligan and Ryan Gosling are well known). The director Nicolas Winding Refn is pretty damn talented. It has an 80's inspired soundtrack and lord knows we love the 80's. It has an air of simplicity in terms of it's plot. It's also supposed to be ridiculously violent....and in this day and age of happy, tame blockbusters, seeing some claret flow and heads getting blown off will be refreshing (This film is supposed to have one of the most graphic head shots put on film). On top of that, it's been getting rave reviews from all parties involved. Was nominated at the Cannes film festival for Best Picture and won for Best Director. Can't wait.

PBM: What's the next film you'll see in theater?

For me, it's either The kill list or The Killer Elite or Drive. Basically all of them are violent crime thrillers....no Twilight for me unfortunately.

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

Um....probably Dark Knight Rises or whatever the new Batman is called. Or, if not, then Breaking Dawn--my friends and I always go to see exactly how bad it will get (plus, my best friend has the greatest movie commentary ever).

Worst grade I ever got was probably the AP English test on The Things They Carried. Nobody was prepared for that test; I got one of the best grades with a whopping 69%. She went through the test with us and gave us quite a few points back by letting us argue our answers out with her.

Also: Those are my two favourites tooo.

PBM: Good student, bad student, or fair?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

Depends.... I'm a good student but I can get really lazy and not do my work to the fullest I can. I like to get As but I'm so busy some times I slack and get Bs or Cs. Mainly though if you compair me to the other students in my school I'm amazing!! No one really tries at my school and barley anyone makes As in classes. So when you are one of those fair students, teachers find you as a good student. If you are a good student, Teachers LOVE you.
But all in all I'd say I'm borderline between a good student and fair student. Lol

PBM: Same Question

--The Flock--

reply

I would say I'm a pretty good student. Despite my constant distraction due to internet (Thanks a lot, guys!), I turn in the majority of my homework, and the few assignments that don't get handed in are usually handed in later. I usually do well on tests too (although this AP Calc stuff is kicking my butt). And I do have a couple Bs in my transcript, but that's because I take AP and honors classes, and classes that are a grade level ahead, rather than easy classes where I would get an A.

PBM: How much time do you spend (guesstimate) on the internet every day?

Hmm... 2 hours maybe. I don't get on in 1st period, right now I'm on so maybe 30 minutes in second period, in 3rd we work on the internet with the online textbook a lot so if you count schoolwork on the internet then that would be and hour, free time in 3rd is another 30 minutes. Then I don't use my laptop in band. So about 2 hours. Lol.

Supernatural! I'm a supernatural junkie I find something related to Supernatural everywhere! It's annoying, my friends prob hate me because I'll randomly start talking about it.

PBM: What book are you reading right now? (If you are reading one. Lol)

--The Flock--

reply

Ha, "reading"--I barely have time anymore. Remember how I once got through a book a day? Well, now it's a couple pages a day. My schedule is a killer.
Anyway, I'm reading Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens. It's really good. I like it.

PBM: Do you like reading classic old books?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

[deleted]

I'm not a fan of full on art house flicks. However, some of my favourite films have been ones that have straddled the line between artsy fartsy and mainstream.

Films like Road to Perdition, Children of Men, Martyrs, Raging Bull, The Assassination of Jesse James...., In Bruges...where they manage to stimulate you visually whilst giving you stories, characters and situations that you can actually relate to.

Which is why I also thoroughly enjoyed Blue Velvet. Yet, I struggled my arse off to get through Mulholland Drive, despite being from the same director, David Lynch. One manages to draw you in and the other leaves you feeling empty in spite of the lovingly filmed lesbianism. (Well, that's what I got from Mulholland anyway)

Also, my favourite film of this year so far has been Drive (although Attack the Block is a very close second, if you like Shaun of the dead, watch this, it's just as good).

Drive is also borderline artsy fartsy. Visually it's great to watch. Each scene is beautifully framed. The story is sparse but there's still enough there to draw you in. Unlike, many full on art house films, where you're left trying to figure out far too much.

So, do I like Arthouse films? Nope, unless they contain some element of mainstream filmmaking (explosions), I hate the buggers.

PBM: What's your favourite Sci-Fi/fantasy film?

Tough one for me. I find Sci-Fi bearable for the most part. Fantasy less so. If I had to choose one, I go for Alien. The original. If I had to choose another, I'd go for Children of Men. I watched it again recently and have come to conclusion that it's quite the possibly the film of the last decade. Everything about it just screams modern classic.

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

reply

I love Alien. I watched it again two days ago. I'd agree with you there, just because I'm too tired to think of anything else. I actually like scifi and good fantasy.

Oh, good fantasy: Harry Potter!

PBM: What's your favourite book genre?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Well looking at my favorite books I would say anything with fighting and guts and gore. (Yes I'm a weird person) anything with supernatural elements in it is awesome! Monsters and superpowers are awesome. So I guess fantasies,.... oh dystopias! That's the word I was looking for. Dystopias are good. Lol

PBM: What's the best type of horror film? The mind game ones or the ones with guts and gore?

--The Flock--
Purple because motorcycles don't have doors.

reply

I would say the mind game ones, just because it's difficult to make good horror. The blood and guts and gore....well, anyone can do that. Look at probably 90% of the horror movies today. The mind game ones, when they're good, are really good. Also, I respect people who don't feel the need to make a movie "scary" (and by scary I mean just gross) by throwing a bunch of blood around.

PBM: Same question (good one).

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

I like the mind game ones. They always give me more chills than blood and gore does. Don't get me wrong. Blood and gore sometimes make a movie. It bugs me when someone dies a horrible death but it seems like there is nothing there proving they died, like someone will be attacked by a monster and their guts would be pulled out by the monster but there is barley any blood laying around the body.
If someone is going to have a gruesome death it should look gruesome.

PBM: Are you as sick as I am waiting for this movie to be made?

I gotta be honest, I don't know what you're talking about....oh the film for this board, Oh the Maximum Ride ride film...Hell yes I'm dying to see it made....(cough) I...er...have been looking forward to it for about 20 years now....ever since I was er...a little child. I....my favourite characters is what's her name, that girl who flies. The way the author describes her flying skills in the book, with such nuance and beauty, has me very excited for this film adaptation. I can't wait to see it on screen. My mind boggles...(cough)

Moving on...

PBM: What's your dream job?

When I was younger, I would've said something like a teacher. I always saw myself as a mature child with realistic ambitions. So, I had realistic dreams of being a teacher with a heart of gold. Teaching the future generations and planting the seeds of knowledge inside their ever expanding minds.

Now, though. I've changed. My dream job would be a hitman. Sitting around, patiently waiting for some fat guy to come out of a building and then blowing his fat brains out. Perfect.

At least with the Hitman job, you get breaks. You get time to yourself. You can eat and drink whenever you please. You're not being watched 24/7. You're stalking other people, which is a lot more fun. You might even get to see the odd good looking lady strip off. All in a days work. I wonder if they have health and safety regulations that they have to adhere to? I bet you they don't, the lucky bastards. What kind of a weird world we live in, where a Hitman gets more rights than a teacher?

It's the the governments fault, I tell you. Them and their Illuminati ways. They'll come for you and then they'll come for me. Ah well.

"Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before."

Timothy, have I told you recently that you're funny?

My dream job? Uh....well. Can't say I have one, to be totally honest.
What? Oh, come on--I don't even know what I want to go into yet. My dream job doesn't exist.

PBM: Same question, since my answer sucked.

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Well my dream job would be something like Samantha Brown's job. Getting paid to travel the world! Amazing!!

More realistically though I would like to be a teacher. Elementary school more and likely. I love little kids :) They make me happy. I've been interning at the elementary school near by my high school for college credit and I'm loving it. I know the teaching I'm interning for loves it too because I'm doing most of the teaching while she sits back and observes me for my grade.

The most recent movie I watched that sucked was "13". The movie had me on edge the entire time and the end was sooooo dissapointing. Plus the main actor looked like the long lost cousin of Robert Pattenson. I don't recommend it to anyone.

36 hours on a bus to L.A. I don't sleep on buses. Same back, except add four hours for the time we got stuck in Billings, so I guess the real answer would be 40 hours.
Good times.

PBM: Are you a night person or a morning person?

If you love someone set them free! If they don't come back, hunt them down and kill them.

reply

Definitely a night person. Whenever I wake up in the morning, I feel like I'm stuck on an alien planet. Struggling to figure out who I am. Failing to grasp even the basics of what being a human entails.

I genuinely, struggle to speak in the morning. I mumble my way through, pointing at things and nodding politely when anybody dares to communicate with me.

It's only mid way through the day, when I drink and eat something meaty that I perk up.

Come night time, I'm a bit psychotic. My senses are heightened. My ass is firmer. My eyes are wider. When the adrenaline gets going and the stars all align together, I feel at one with the universe.

So, the moral of my weird comments is that you should never take drugs. Never. Unless, you've just been mauled by a tiger and you're only means of easing the pain are by taking ecstasy pills...never take drugs. Always use a condom.

PBM: When looking outside of your bedroom window, what's the view like?

Mine is unusual. There's just lot of trees sitting on top of a hill. All I can see are trees. It does look great, but sometimes, I wish that somebody would chop all of the trees down and build a massive night club there. Get some neon going!

Yes I am employed, I work at the local vets office a few minutes from my house. I'm a kennel worker. It's not the funnest of jobs but it pays minimum wage plus a few cents, so $7.50 an hour. I walk dogs, clean cages, wash dishes, fold blankets and towels, mop and sweep floors and give some meds.

But the people I work with are CRAZY!! All of them! Except Alisha. Lol. But basically we have fun and goof off. We "work" for 8 hours a day :)

The thing I dislike most about dogs is their slobber. To me its just gross.
They breath hot, heavy pants on you when you're already hot and scratch up your hardwood floor (I'm not saying, but I'm just saying).
Dogs can be soo loud and you have to let them out. They are more high maintence. While they can be fun to play with and good companions, I think I'll stick with my fluffy fur ball.

Biggest frustration as of late, is my inability to talk for long periods of time. I have the tendency to shut down and struggle to listen and talk.

You guys may find it hard to believe, but I'm actually a fairly quiet man in real life. I still joke around, but I'm not one for spouting verbal diarrhoea (yeah, damn difficult to believe isn't it?)

Now, I'm at the stage where I've earned my right to be an arrogant show-off. Yet, I hold back. I'm still far too chilled out and modest for my own good. Need to up the tempo a little bit. Because what I've found is, that people naturally respond to me when I bring my A game to the table.

I've been brought up in an environment where everyone's extremely extrovert. Loud as a motherfvcker. Strangely enough, I'm the oddity. The one that got away type thing. Quiet and reflective individual.

Point being, I've got the confidence now to experiment with my personality. So, I'm gonna go a bit mental from now on, just to see how it feels.

Truth is, I don't know what I'm talking about. This sort of stuff should be kept in my brain, but I'm continually typing cause I'm a fast typer and it's all coming out now.

PBM: Do you believe or have you ever seen any ghosts or any other supernatural stuff?

Me. No. I've not seen any. Don't believe in it, until I've been (inappropriately)'touched by one'.

I'm far too manly to be scared as well. Just because they can go through walls, it doesn't mean they are invincible. I bet you any money, if I punched a ghost in the stomach, he'd be knocked out on the floor spilling his guts out. They haven't even got the balls to come out when I'm around. Cause they're pussies. Which begs the question, do ghosts have balls?

Most awkward thing that has happened to me recently. Probably on Thanksgiving when we visited my aunt and her friends came over. They were all talking about down low and gay marriages. But I was only half listening, I should have know because they are "high class know-it-alls" that they were not talking positively toward it, more negative and how being gay is wrong. Well I heard something about someones friend who is gay and I blurt out, "My best friend is gay too." Well I had kinda forgot the fact that my parents don't know that my friend is gay and no one really does. So now my family knows and they shouldn't and the know-it-alls know too and they talked even worst about gay people for the longest time.

Well, I accidentally pissed on myself, for one. Or at least it looked like I had done.

I was in the toilet, smiling and finishing my business off. The wee wee kind not the other stuff. And I opened the taps to wash my beautiful hands and baaaaammm!! The tap opened up an entire lake and it blew right into my crotch area.

I spent about half an hour trying to dry the area with the...dryer. And then somebody came in and from his perspective it would look like I was trying to hump the dryer.

So, I leave casually and return to the main office area, forgetting that I've still got a massive damp patch on my crotch area. Cue laughter from everybody around. In turn, my street cred has gone down now.

I plan on getting it back up again by selling drugs to the children in the local orphanage...terrible isn't it, but somebody's gots to do it, ya now what I mean, ain't nothing but a G thang..whatever.

PBM: Imagine if you go 10 years back in time and meet up with yourself, what would you say to yourself?

I would tell myself to stop worrying about what those other bastards think. Stop caring so damn much and thinking so highly of everybody. You're the exact same as them. And don't treat yourself like crap. Putting yourself down at every turn. I used to be so damn self deprecating in those days...

I'd also tell myself to focus more on the best things in life. The girls, the exercise, the drugs, the music, the freedom of expression. Because somewhere along the lines, I lost my innoncence and lost my sense of adventure. I'm only getting that back now and I'm pretty bloody old now to be playing kids games...

.....Well, I'll just going to get back to sniffing this line of cocaine to appease my sense of adventure now, byeeeeeeeee....

reply

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa not really. Have never believed in ghosties and ghoulies. Although, I love watching horror films, hence, I love scaring myself crapless.

The only aspect of life, that genuinely strikes fear into me, is death itself. The idea that we're all going six feet or under (or in my case, getting eaten by killer bears) scares the absolute monkey nuts out of me.

Other than that, no, I don't believe in the naughty things that go hump in the night.

The closest experience that I've had, was a couple of years back, when for a period of two months I kept on hearing rattling noises in my bedroom in the middle of the pitch black night. I couldn't for the life of me, figure it out. It sh!tted me up. A grown man scared senseless by the fear of the unknown...turns out, it was just rats stuck in some weird part of the extended house.

See, there's rational explanations for everything.

(I bet you any money, I'll probably be anally probed by some googly eyed aliens today, just because I said that I don't believe in any of that mumbo jumbo)

PBM: On a scale of 10, how masculine or feminine are you?

In terms of my masculinty, I'd say about 7 out of 10. I don't look particularly masculine, which is why I've deducted points. But, in terms of my demeanour, attitude and general love of all things manliness, I rank pretty high.

In terms of my feminity, I'd say about 6 out of 10. As much I love being macho and insanely manly, I do have a sensitive side...the bastard side, as I like to call it. The one that likes to think rationally...lots of mood swings as well.

I know I shouldn't have answered the feminity question, but I was feeling remarkably giddy at the time of writing this.

Signed, sealed and delivered to me, at the height of my self conscience self. I was heavily adhering to a diet at the time and she knew this as well, but no, she gives me this gigantic bar.

I eat the fvcker within about 20 minutes. Cue, a huge calorie increase and a session in the gym which ended with me hitting my head against a locker door...cue me needing stitches on my melon head.

I'm not blaming the woman for giving me a gift. It's a nice thing to do, but don't give me chocolates. Chocolates of all things...it would be better to give me a live hand grenade...which on a related note.....I have actually been to a house where a guy in there had a real hand grenade placed as an ornament!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looked at it and crapped ourselves...what makes it worse, is that the guy was a complete alcoholic....I hope he's still alive.

Depends on how close I was to the person being cheated on. I would probably keep my mouth shut if I wasn't super-close to the person, or I would talk to the person cheating if I knew them better.
I'm actually having the same kind of problem now--a guy I know (not very well) is cheating on his girlfriend with multiple girls. How do I know? One of those girls is one of my best friends, and he keeps texting her asking her to sleep with him. Here lies the problem: I used to be really tight with his girlfriend, but we've grown apart, mostly because we now go to different schools.
