I was sadly disappointed
To the credit of many in this genre they've postponed putting out movies until the technology was available to show it in its true light. This is an example of where the technology should have been there but inexcusably was not used.
I read all the books I could get my hands on that were associated with Krynn as a teen. My wife walked by the TV as I was watching it with my mildly-involved 5 year old son, laughed, and asked when it was filmed. I didn't know so I told her it looked like it was done in the 80's off-handedly. Why??? I spent $1 for this in Redbox and I feel I was gypped.
To sum up how I felt about this movie: It's like you had a high school sweetheart you loved and worshipped 15 years ago, only to talk to someone at the 15th reunion to find out she died of a heroin overdose on a toilet in Mexico after years of doing low-budget porn.
