Why did Keifer Sutherland agree to participate in this?

He is, after all, a fairly big name in the celebrity world. It's not as if he couldn't get another role in a bigger production. It just seemed so, well, ODD, that he allowed himself to be attached to this movie. I wonder if the casting crew hypnotized him. hmmmmm...

Just wondered if anyone might have heard the reason behind this rather strange decision.

Whatever the reason, his voice was good for Raistlin. I just expected him to grab a draconian and point a gun at him, screaming "Damn it! Where is that bomb! Damn it! Thousands of Ansalonians are going to die! Tell me!"
