Kitiara.

I always thought in a live action film (i hate that expression) that Angelina Jolie would be a perfect Kitiara. She has the right amount of charm and slyness. Especially in that rather frosty smile of hers. Pretty, but watch out for the jagged edges...

They've not cast someone for her, does that mean she's not in it. I know she doesn't appear in the first book, but they should forshadow her even a little...

Oh, well that's simple. Kit wasn't in [u]Dragons of Autumn Twilight[/u]. As you stated, she first appears in [u]Dragons of Winter Night[/u]. The only reason to cast her now is to create another Arwen situation in which she appears in the movie even in scenes that go to someone else, eg Glorfindel, in the book.

Not true leonard, tho youre right that she was first an instrumental character in winter night, she was mentioned a heck of a lot in the first book. Kitiara will ahve to be plenty mentioned in the first movie for people to understand the emotional struggle of Tanis between her and laurana. im sure that shell be done in sort of a "memory/flashback" sequence. theyll have to establish her in the film like they did in the book. especially since shes mentioned so much, wether it be how occasionally people see the similarity between the twins, or how she taught caramon to fight, or how she fought the gods to keep raistlin alive. seroine is right. shes gonna have to be a part of the film for this to work. its not something they can just pop up int he second movie (if one is made) and say "oh by the way the twins have a sister". so seroine, im sure youll see kitiara mentioned plenty, wether it be only in words, or if its a flashback/memory thing. if they do it that way, it would prevent someone from doing the whole "arwen effect" as i like to call it. and it would be true to the books in all respects.

You're crazy. The person to play Kitiara would be Kate Beckinsale. Just look at her in underworld. She looks incredibly beautiful with short hair, she has the curls, she has the body, and she has the action movie talent. She'd be PERFECT.

I agree. Angelina Jolie is awesome and she can portrait Kitiara's qualities excellently but I just think the movie would turn out to seem too over-the-top and I just don't think Angelina would look right in Kit's armor. Kate Beckinsale would look like a bad-assed in dragon armor and I think she'd be even more convincing.

I figure Kit can just be alluded to, but yes Jolie would be a good Kit, as would Beckensail, but you know who is missing ...

Who is playing that role? Overall, perhaps a small character(pun intended), he is the first bad guy to show up, if my memory serves me correctly. I always imagined he had a real creepy voice.

Also, Onyx MUST have real creepy voice. I don't know the actress playing her, but I still remember how wickedly she was written. I really hope the animators and voice actress give her the due she is required as a villan.

Actually, Fewmaster is not missing. He's voiced by some guy named Fred Tatasciore who also voice Flint...

Opps yup, your right! Missed that. IMDB says he did the voice for Damon Baird in the Gears of War VG, thats the wise cracking blonde dude for those who know the game. Hmmm ... not sure how that's gonna work, but I bought the Damon Baird character as more than a few pixels and he's a pretty funny character to play (nobody beats The Cole Train though). Fairly descent voice actor. He might be able to pull it off, but I'm nervous he might just come across as background noise if he ain't enthusiastic enough about the roles.

Some of the voice acting I feel will fit pretty nicely, but the one that bothers me most is Keifer playing Raistlin... I always imagined Raist having a dark, raspy voice, and I dont think Keifer can pull it off, but since the movie IS animated (note for people wanting people to play Kit), you never know how things will turn out... Here's hoping for the best

Live action, I think she's a bit old for the role; animated, she's not a talented voice actress.

presumably, you're responding to my opinion that sigourney weaver is horrible voice actress. if so, i have to say that i was quite disappointed with the quality of work she did in happily n'ever after. i checked the credits twice, looked at the dvd case a dozen or so times, and then came here to check the credits. if that's indicative of the kind of voice acting she does, i hope and pray that she doesn't get the role of kitiara.

but again, in live action, i guess with the right make up they can make her look younger, but i think she'd be a bit old, but otherwise a spectacular fit, for the role of kitiara. angelina jolie is hot and a pretty decent actress and all, but i just don't see her in the role. but that's just my opinion.

Where is Paladine, I mean Fizban and Alhana Starbreeze. I know Starbreeze gave some star to Sturm.

Alhana Starbreeze isn't in Autumn Twilight she is in Winter Night. Takhisis didn't talk at all in this book. Fizban is done by Neil Ross.

i don't know why but i think of mila kunis when i see the cover of spring dawning of kit. I don't know if she would be good in that role but she could look the part. Angelina Jolie would be good too

Not a bad choice. Only Kitiara was always described as a brunette and I saw a natural brunette with a sexy, sel-indulgent bitch-like attitude with a dominating confidence. Linda Fiorentino in The Last Seduction and Catherine Keener in Being John Malkovich show me two actresses who've proven great choices in their days back then if not today. I think a great choice right now would be Kate Beckinsale maybe, but ultimately i'd go with Kelly MacDonald.

Reese Witherspoon as Laurana would be great, and the blonde chick who starred in The Ring would be a great Goldmoon. Tika could be done great by Minnie Driver and Samantha Bond before, but now i'd see more of a modern possibility in Ron Howard's daughter.

As for a great female role I would present Judy Davis as the voice of Takhisis because she can act her less distinguished voice to heights greater than a cool sounding average actress.

My one most wished for casting overall back in the day was Eric Stoltz as Tanis because he's a cool underrated actor who has the voice, demeanor, look and persona without any changes needed.
