DVD release?

Does anyone know if there is any likelihood that this will ever get a DVD release, UK or otherwise? It certainly deserves one.

This has been released on R2(Play.com stock it),I recieved my copy this morning.

I hope we get it on TV/DVD here in Australia. I missed most of it when it was on in the UK.

I am in Australia too and I have just read the book and now would like to see the movie.

Soryr I don't think it's out here, though it might have been on TV some time and I missed it. I wish I'd watched it in the UK. I haven't read the book but I did read an article on it, I'll check out the book.

I bought it from Amazon.co.uk. Fortunately their shipping charges and time to the US are good. It's not available on DVD here. I asked BBC America when they plan to release it for Region 1 (US & Canada), and they said they have no plans to release it here at all. That's a shame. It's so much better than 90% of what does get released here. I don't understand why BBC America produced it if they had no intention of releasing it in America.
