Any relation to 1980 movie?

I haven't seen the 1980 George C. Scott movie in years. I remember it being a creepy horror movie, yet this 2008 movie is more of a drama. Are these movies two completely different movies? I don't remember.

How could you possibly confuse the two, but no they are in now way related at all.

I don't remember anything about the 1980 movie except it was creepy. That's why I asked the question.

This is about a real-life serial killer. It's an excellent movie - scared me to bits and upset me thinking about my baby.

"THE Changeling" is a ghost story. And an excellent one, to boot.
