Meera's husbands gran unlocks the room where meera has been held captive since the previous night. The gran tells Meera to look within herself for answers to the questions she faces (questions like - 'Should she forgive her husbands killer? But why? She is human too, shouldn't she avenge her husbands death, as revenge is a human need?' ...etc.) A dejected Zeenat waits for the train back to her town. As Zeenat waits, Meera realizes Zeenat has indeed given her so much more in friendship, life and life-lessons, that the least she could do is rise above humanity for the sake of her friendship with Zeenat. She runs barefoot to the station, and manages to catch Zeenat just as the train pulls out of the station. Initially, Zeenat seems incapable of fathoming Meera's gesture, but quickly comes to, and stretches out her hand, to signal to Meera to join her, and leave behind her pitiful caged life. As Meera doesn't really have much to look forward to in Rajasthan, she too wants this escape, & catches up as the train speeds up. The final shot is the 2 of them hugging once Meera's on the train.
