I LOVE this series!

Anyone else absolutely in love with this show? I'm certainly no otaku, but I do love anime (and a good deal of overall interest in Japanese culture), and My-HiME is among my favorites.

It has a wide range of humor, a realistic love story (confusing and not totally spelled out until the end), imaginative creatures/settings, brief but well-executed action scenes, and the drama and emotional level go very deep without being overblown.

*** SPOILERS (POSSIBLY) ***

I heard a lot of people weren't happy with the end. I never say things like "only an idiot would hate this" because everyone has their own opinion. However, I wonder why so many weren't pleased with the ending. The series gets increasingly serious and emotional, and the end (while a little rushed, if anything), is a massive relief compared to what the characters went through.

And the very last line..."And of course...I love
Yuuichi." Ah, thats so romantically perfect a line to say to end it all.
