If you're not a female under 10 y.o., don't bother with this one

This is so childish and girly...

Stupid comment...

It's actually a pretty cute film that doesn't require a prepubecent mind to make it nice to watch. Were you expecting anything else then a girls film? It may be 3D fairytake fantasy animation, but that doesn't mean it HAS to have the same adult humor as SHREK.

It's girly? It's TinkerBell... A GIRL fairy, not a fat Ogre and his Donkey friend... What did you expect when you decided to watch this film? Honestly?

Ifact, i felt that jokes like the mouse being named Cheese, and the "Cover your tooshie" jokes were pretty close to the Shrek type of humor for this type of genre.

It's much more fun and a much more honest film for the preteen girl audience that such comercial junk as WINX that pretends to be fantasy while all it does is teach kids that materialism is EVERYTHING in life.

TinkerBell is a cute film. Simple as that. It's comercial, ok, but the hard work that was put into the looks and the story make it an honest film that stays true to it's origins, and doesn't screw up the Neverland universe.

I am a long time fan of Peter Pan, Tink, and the world that J.M. Barrie created, and i think the film is very nice, and a nice addition to the world around Peter Pan.

I agree, I'm a 30 year old transgendered girl and I loved it, I always wanted to be Tinkerbell, hehe, still do :) Sometimes it's fun just to forget your age and enjoy like you did as a child.

Ppl mention it being girly, but that's one thing I love about Tinkerbell, she is girly and fem, but also quite a tough tomboy at the same time, that's how I identify mostly, I guess that's why I always wanted to be her :)

Just because we lose today's battle doesn't mean we've lost tommorow's war.

I'm a 58 year old male who likes many films, of many different genres. I just discovered the Disney Tinker Bell films in the last year on TV, and I enjoy them. I think Tink is cute, even pretty, and I like her voice, and that she is kind and struggles with her self confidence. I do get frustrated with Disney's insistence on silly sidekicks, but because her friends are mostly all fairies, it's more believable and fun. Before seeing these Tinker Bell movies, my favorite modern Disney animated title has long been Mulan, which I re-watch about once a year.

I'm a 32 year old male, and I love this movie. I even went out an bought it to add to my DVD collection. Sure its girly, that's one of the many things I like about it. Life is too short to not partake in what brings you joy. So long as you're not harming anybody that is.

I'm a 34-year old male, and I own both Tinker Bell DVDs. Hell, these films are as cute as they are hilarious. Especially when Tink gets pissed off. I mean, what's not to like about a mischievous 6-inch tall blond chick with nice legs who can turn red as a beet under pressure? I can't wait for the third one.

Will someone please pass me the f!cking asparagus?

I love them too and I can't wait for 'Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue'!

Couldn't have put it better myself.

Love these movies too, I'm 32 and male. They are cute and actually have interesting storylines too. I can't say that about all 3D movies right now (Avatar cough).

Well spoken General Friday!!! Even though I'm about 3 years late lol

Oh, I'm still around. I just finished watching The Secret of the Wings, so I am still very much into the Tinker Bell movies!

Thanks!

I am obsessed with both of the films. Though I am not in the target age group, that doesn't mean I can't enjoy them.

Movies like this are targeted toward young girls, but that doesn't mean that 'older' people can't watch them. I mean, I'm 17. And I primarily listen to Disney music. My favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast. I saw The Princess and the Frog on opening day.

There aren't age limits on things like this. It's not about how old you are, or your gender — it's what you enjoy.

I am 17, and I love it. Just because films have a target audience does not mean everyone else can't love it. It is a very cute movie - and the morals and stories are really true.

I'm 39 and watch these with my 2 year old daughter... We like all the Tinker Bell movies.

oh, lol i wasnt aware girliness was ahorrible thing, or that since i am 16 Im not allowed to be girly. haha, stupid me, as a GIRL i obvi. need to act like a MAN

reply

I'm 28 and a girl and I love these movies. It's stupid to say only certain ages or genders can like things. It's sad that the opening poster feels that way.
