Krista Starr spin-off

If they made a Krista Starr spin-off of Blade: The Series, it might work. Since Blade: The Series was already more about Krista Starr anyway, I don't see how they could possibly mess this up. Not to mention that many people who watched the show didn't like Kirk "Sticky" Jones' portrayal of Blade, the Vampire Hunter, and, sadly, all of the other supporting characters in the opening credits cast were far more interesting than even Blade himself.

I know, a lot of Wesley Snipes fans hated the show because of Sticky Fingaz, but I mean think about it, if he wasn't on the show, and the show became about Krista, Shen, Marcus and Chase, you know you're lying if you say that you wouldn't still be watching. Sticky was the problem. Jill Wagner wasn't. The show was good. It would have been even better without him.

The way that I would bring the show back is I would make Krista and Shen team up once more once Blade is revealed to have moved on to other parts of the world. Now that Kirk Jones is gone, all that's needed is to move the show out of Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A., and to move the show to where it is really filmed, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Why? Because it's better to be filming in Vancouver and see that it is Vancouver, than to be filming in Vancouver and pretending that it is Detroit. Then, continue on with the story as planned, only now focus on Krista and Shen being vampire hunters, and vigilantes. Then continue with Marcus and Chase being vampire crime lords and focus the story on a fight between Krista and Shen fighting Chase, and Marcus while adding more great ideas to the live action Blade Universe.

And that's it. That's all that needed to be done. The series would be a hit. Sure, there would still be a lot of haters, but if Blade is replaced with the superior Michael Jai White, and if Blade is only a recurring character who makes special guest appearances, like if there is a Marvel Comics super-villain who is too powerful to fight, then the show would be very good.

Oh, and one more thing. As long as that f---ing a s shole Dana White is still in charge of Spike T.V., the show would need to move to another Cable T.V. channel, preferably H.B.O., Showtime or F/X.

Well, I got nothing more. Flame me if you want, I don't care. I just needed to rant and explain my idea for the show to not only come back, but to also actually improve. This is long enough. I got it off of my chest.

I would LOVE a Krista Starr spin-off. I have nothing against Kirk Jones but I was more interested in what was going on with the other characters especially Krista and Marcus.

i never saw the movies so i have no idea about how good or bad Sticky was compared to Wesley, but i cared way more about what was going on with Krista and the others as well, i would love a show devoted to Krista.

Since the cancellation I had hoped long for a Krista spin-off and definitely one that included Shen. They made the series watchable for me. I agree with every thing you said especially about moving the show to a new network. I think it would work best on H.B.O considering their success with "True Blood" then again two series about vampires on the same network might get some backlash. It could do well on SyFy though ratings might be considerably less but they'll be just enough to keep it afloat for at least 3-4 seasons.

I wonder if Jill and Nelson would consider signing back up. I also wonder what the series would be called because I doubt they'd called it Blade's Minions XD

Yeah, Jill Wagner's work and character were THE only good thing about this show. Sticky Fingaz was the reason this thing tanked because he was awful in every way that matters. This was a flash of "True Blood" before it even became a concept. Too bad they blew it by casting a terrible title lead. Jill Wagner deserved better.

I liked Krista, Shen, Marcus & Chase but Sticky wasn't that bad as Blade though. He was good but if you compare his Blade to Wesley's, then of course Wesley's Blade will come out on top. I really loved the Blade movies, this wasn't bad to me at all, I thought that there could've been spin off with Krista, she was so SEXY!! My god! I also loved Randy Quaid's character, he was really cool too.

Sticky wasn't the problem it's the narrow one track minded fans of Snipes that have the problem!.

"Storming the Castles. Swords in the air. Killing the Monsters in their own lair."

I had no problems with Sticky. He did a good enough job, though it's obviously not that hard a role to play. I do agree that the 4 other leads were far more interesting though. Sticky was just there to get the show moving. I'd definitely watch a Krista Starr spin-off, though it would be kinda empty without someone like Blade lurking about.

I love the show. Think it captured the feel of the films well. But I agree it was more focused on krista's journey as human yo vampire.

Was cancelled well too early IMO.

The force will be with you always...

This made me laugh. Some pretty low standards. I've only seen the first ep, and already I can see the acting is terrible. Low production values are understandable. Both Sticky and Jill are friggen terrible actors. Probably why neither are really actors, or have done much actual acting. They were obviously cast because they cost peanuts to hire. If Jill is the best thing about the show, I'm probably wasting my time with this. I thought she looked a little bit like Gina Carano, and she acts as badly, but without the actual martial arts talent.

Hopefully the plot/story can help drive the rest of the show like some reviews say, because the acting certainly doesn't cut it.
