zac only sings part of his, drew seely sings most but at the start of breaking free, where he goes 'we soaring flying' etc thats zac but drew is 'you know the world can see us' . and yes vanessa sings all of her parts, but they pre-recorded and are lip-synching
shareNobody actually sings while filming the movie... they are all lip sinking, however Vanessa actually sings her part while zac efron did not.
If you look closely you can see at some places Vanessa's lips move without the words.

Disney felt that Zac's voice was too low because he is a baritone and they wanted a tenor that sounded like a member of boy band. IMHO Zac is a much better singer and thank goodness they've let him sing for himself in HSM2.
sharethe music for the movie was written before it was casted- Zac's voice was too low for the music that was already written.
