Confused about the soundtrack

It looked to me like the movie was completed and then they selected songs to use for it because the dance sequences didn't match up. The worse offender was Lady Gaga's "Just Dance", which didn't seem to go with her moves at the end.

I hate it when movies do that for dances, probably done to sell the music.
