Main Story Copied from Coyote Ugly

WHT THE HELL?? they copied hte main core of the story from the 2000 movie Coyote Ugly. I mean in CU she moves to NYC n in MIH she moves to Chicago. the story abt hte mother, the story abt the dancing.
THE WHOLE MOVIE looks like Coyote Ugly.. with new songs n new cast

That's exactly what im thinking, im watching Make It Happen now and the storyline is EXACTLY the same! Young girl moves away from her small hometown to make it big, doesnt make it so shes sitting in a bar when someone points her in the direction of a club where she gets a job dancing & the boss is a bi@#ch to her until she starts doing well and one of the girls is nasty to her and she meets a nice guy... i just watched the part where a family member comes into the bar and sees her on stage and gets all pissed off and tells her to "put on some clothes"... its ALL the SAME!!!! The dancing is good but the whole movie is just annoying me coz its such a copy!!!!

Yet I liked this one so much better than Coyote Ugly. While this movie is unrealistic I bought it more than CU and liked the characters so much better. Plus the Dancing was so much better, and sexier, and the movie as a whole had a lot more class.

I thought it was an all right movie, but I was having similar thoughts regarding Coyote Ugly... particularly with parts like where her brother catches her dancing; it's just like in CU when her dad sees her and is disgusted, ect. Then the fact that there was a bitchy girl who randomly liked her in the end reminded me of CU too... plus the basic storyline in general.

You're all too young to remember "Flashdance" I guess. That is the movie that both CU and Make it Happen ripped off. Check it out sometime. It's a real slice of '80's life.
