Song from movie...

Anyone know the song that played while the wife was laying in bed dying? It was a scene where there was no dialogue and it showed Bacon standing at the foot of the bed watching the wife etc... Very moving scene and a beautiful song, but I don't know what it is and it's not in the soundtrack. :(

Any help is appreciated.

It is called "Into Dust" by the brilliant band, Mazzy Star. The song is from the album So Tonight That I Might See.

Hope Sandoval, lead singer, has a beautiful yet haunting voice. This is one of my favorite albums from the 1990's.

Yeps, it's a classic. Like Elysian Fields and Portishead it gets right into your soul. I love women singers, especially in groups like Massive Attack, A Girl Called Eddy, Hooverphonic, Jill Scott, Sam Philips and The Cardigans.

Remember Stealing Beauty? It had tons of excellent music from Mazzy Star, Liz Phair and Hooverphonic. The soundtrack was awesome, even if the movie was a bit misogynistic.

Did you know that Hope is going to sing on Massive Attack's new album, Weather Underground? Can't wait for that one.

I too, dig bands with chicks as lead singers. Camera Obscura is my current fascination.
