Religious Nonsense - Reply to Dachunde post

"Apart from the fact there were people praying in this flick and he was called 'a priest' there was virtually ZERO emphasis on religion and faith in this movie. He didn't turn to God at the end in order to find the strength etc etc, he just needed Maggie Q to surf a nitro-bike. Nothing to do with Religion whatsoever. It is a launch pad for the action scenes. That is all."

Wow, lol are you serious??? LOL. Since when does the title of a movie have to do with anything related to real life? A movie is a world created by someone so why would the rules or definitions that apply to the world we live in apply to the one made up? Are vampires real Dachunde? Cause if they are then yeah make a connection between that world and this one, but please, really?? Did you watch the movie from the start? Did you hear the story about "What is known?" That there had always been man and vampires, that even though man had the sun it wasn't enough and how both species not only destroyed each other but the world along with it. That mankind faced extinction so they retreated behind walls under the protection of the church who where like the authority. Did you miss the most important part of that narration, the part about how the church discovered the ultimate weapon, "warriors with extraordinary powers trained by the church in the art of vampire combat" and how they were sought out and trained by the church who in turn and here is the kicker NAMED them PRIESTS , not that they became actual priests but that they were merely NAMED as such. And their role was not even similar to that of a regular priest, priests hear confessions and people didn't even talk to Priests so what is it with the ZERO emphasis thing? Say the title was relevant, is the movie called Religion? Is it called Faith? F no. Its called Priest as in the warrior who was given such name for he possessed abilities few did and was therefore trained and named as such by the church. Why would there be an emphasis? The Priests here are warriors who fight vampires, do you know priests who fight vampires Dachunde? I didn't know that psychiatric wards allowed patients to use computers.

And how the hell do you know that when he sees the Priestess in his mind he doesn't say "Thank you God". The theme of the religion is not absent from the film, did they need to repeat the "To go against the church is to go against God" line one more time. He goes against the church, an in your face reference/symbol or whatever u wanna call it of that, of his decision to do so is the breaking of the rosary. And he does ask God for forgiveness so just because he abandons the church does not mean that in heart and mind he abandons Gods, and that's religion right there. Church, merely a place of worship. Just because its not said doesn't mean its no so, and if religion is not present why would he be carving crosses in Hicks bullets? So don't make conclusions based on pov, use facts and ITS A VAMPIRE MOVIE MEANING MADE UP WORLD WHERE THERE RULES U MAY CHOOSE TO FOLLOW IN THIS WORLD OR IN WHATEVER WORLD YOU LIVE IN OVER THERE AT THE WARD DO NOT HAVE TO APPLY IN ANY WAY TO THE MOVIE BECAUSE ITD BE A DOCUMENTARY NOT A MOVIE NOW WOULDN'T IT? And again he was NAMED Priest a name given to "the ultimate weapon", the warriors, he did not become your average priest now did he? He became a Priest not a priest. The capital letter is for distinguishing words in meaning. A Whale and a whale are not the same thing you know. Go to a casino and ask what a Whale is, you'll find they won't say a mammal who lives in the ocean brainiac. LOL.

"Swede? Like Sweden? It's a country not a verb!."

LMAO @ people getting upset over a movie that is titled after characters occupations and has similar themes as a fairytail. Even when said fairytail stole most of its themes and titles from older farytails itself, now if that aint the pot calling the kettle........
