The Priest's bikes... ??? Electric using Nitrous?

Maybe that's what the masks were for.

Loved the steam punk look, but the inconsistencies in tech were unsettling. There's electricity and they're using hand cranked Victrolas to play records on, train station dude carries an oil lamp and the explosive of choice is pipe bombs? They still have computers, video and super cool stuff but they are still shoveling coal for power in one scene and wind turbines in the next.

The inconsistencies in this film that were made just to help with the look blew.

The Dude abides.

I just saw this movie on DVD. Loved it at the theater, especially the film score. Commentary and documentaries on the DVD suggest that there is futuristic stuff with regression thrown in. The city is made to have some futuristic elements. Maybe because the church power is there? I don't know. As you get away from the city, more regression sets in. It still has some futuristic elements thrown in. The doomed town has metal on its buildings or sitting around it according to the insider material on the DVD. Just my two cents.

Maybe its not N2O but CO2 used to cool the motor. Electric motors loose efficiency as they heat up, cooling them as long as you don't freeze them would seem like adding power (in truth only adding back what should be there).

What bothered me was the jet engine turbine intake for a gas tank but all noise is electric.

To be fair it just said "nitro" which could easily be a mode versus a method.

Boycott PG-13 "horror" films.
