Priest and Priestess

Did anyone else feel like they should have been together? When they had their moment together and he took her hand down from his face I upset. I don't see why they cant since he already broke his vow to the church.

They broke their vow to a corrupt Church, but that doesn't mean they stopped having faith and honouring the traditions they upheld.

I wish that Priest and Priestess could have found a way to stay together since there was a lot of promise between the 2.

I didn't even read that he cared for her at all. He was so wrapped up in avenging his former wife's death that he completely missed or ignored the Priestess in love with him.

I suppose his coming back to life when he remembered the cross she saved for him was meant to be a catharsis...an acknowledgement that he cares for her as well.

But since the film was counting on a sequel, they didn't add in the extra characterization.

No. They shouldn't even have tried. It just came out of nowhere. I mean, apparently they haven't seen each other for ages and suddenly she's confessing her feelings for him? This is an action movie, not a romance. They don't have to make a thing between them just because one is female and the other is male.

well the way I saw it was that she loved him since always and he didn't love her back.
he was probably still in love with the woman that died (the mother of the girl)
And he could never love the priestess because his heart belonged to the mother of the girl.

I guess he didn't want to give the priestess false hope
