Did I see a different movie?

Seriously, with all the bad press that Priest has received since the day of it's release I'm beginning to think that I've been watching a different movie as I frecking love it, and honestly consider it to be one of the best comic book adaptations out there. I realise that movies are very subjective, but I can't help but feel that this particular one has been given a very rough ride, and am inclined to believe that many who pan it do so in order to fit in, which is sad (and somewhat pathetic) as by doing so they rob themselves of the pleasure derived from viewing what is at times a breathtaking post-apocalyptic horror flick.

I absolutely agree - I watched this purely as a stand alone film away from the comic and loved it. If people could learn how to seperate the two then they'd have a much greater viewing experience.

Agree...very entertaining

Technically, this is one of the worst adaptations of a comic ever. It has nothing in common with the Korean manhwa aside from the title and the basic concept of warrior priests. The plot is different, the setting is different, and the characters are different.

It's like making a Superman movie where there's no Clark Kent, no Krypton, no Daily Planet, and no costume.

PRIEST is a structural remake of John Ford's The Searchers with Paul Bettany in the John Wayne role and Cam Gigandet in the Jeffrey Hunter role.

I agree
This film was very entertaining and a refreshing change from the current trend of sparkly vampires

I didn't know the movie was based on a graphic novel until I read it in the introduction. I almost turned it off, but I'm glad I didn't. I loved the movie. And I loved the vampires.

I watched it for the awesome backdrops. The concept artists really put a lot of work into the scene designs
