I hope this movie does not get released in America.

If it does it'll be bashed to death. Americans will look at it and go "Ahhhhh...another toilet humor movie." Then they'll watch it and be disappointed because it wasn't all about poo. It was about the character himself. THis movie will be so much better if it stayed in Australia. But it's becoming so popular that Americans will want to see it. I hope it's not the case.

Excellent film, and I'm from outside of Australasia.

I'd like to see it, and I'm from America. I love Australian movies.

One of my more boorish friends in the U.S. laughed his head off at this film.

He LOVED the toilet humor. Ranked up there with South Park and can't wait to buy the DVD.

As for me, I loved it as well and watched it returning to America from Australia. Mockumentaries are one of my favorite venues and this is one of the best EVER! Which, BTW, are always about the person(s) and rarely the subject.

I just saw on A Current Affair that it will be released this month in North America.
By the way... this is far better than your average toilet humour! I hate toilet humour and I LOVED this movie. I think Americans will love it too.

The last movie I watched was: The Chumscrubber

To the Original Poster, I think it's sad that you would wish this film not get released in America because you like it. I live in America and I loved this film. I also run a video store in Seattle and have ordered several copies of this; I know many, many people who will love it like I do.

Believe me, I'm the last person in the world to defend American cultural tastes or Americans in general, but I'll step up any day to defend a great film (especially an independant film that's so good) and to defend the chance for others to see it.

And besides, if it comes to America and most Americans don't like it, so what? How has that diminished your enjoyment of it or the quality of the film?

Just had a conversation with a customer who loved "Kenny", thought I'd post a follow up to that last one of mine from almost a year ago.

Our two copies have rented a combined 63 times and we've sold 2 others as Special Orders for people who wanted to own it. Only had a couple of people say they didn't get it, but mostly because they couldn't understand the accent. Most, in fact, have gone out of their way to comment on how much they liked it the next time they came in to rent.

Looking through some of the other posts it's obviously the sort of film that is pretty divisive, either you love it or hate it. But for what it's worth there are some of us here in the States who enjoyed it!
