Which camera did they use?

In the 60 Minutes clips last night, it looked like a Sony VX2100. Can anyone confirm? The 35mm blowup looks brill.

Yep, that's the cam. The blow up looks brilliant because they kept a close focus on everything and there was no need for any distance shots :)

DV features work as long as you keep the shots close to the subjects and not have too many wides happening.

But HDV and up? Hello future of cinema, and goodbye to film once and for all. Sad as it seems coz we all love film, but to hell with all these post houses ripping us off for all these years!

Man, that footage looks superb for SD DV.

It's amazing how far the technology's come just in the last few years. A decade ago, the idea of being able to buy a 1080i HD camcorder for $3,000 and edit the footage on a home PC was unthinkable. We've certainly come a long way from A/B roll editing decks and bulky analogue cameras! Can't wait for the new AVCHD cameras from Sony and Panasonic to come out.

In the commentary, Director Clayton Jacobson says "for 90% of the movie it was just Shane and me with me Sony PD170 runnig around"

Also later in the commentary, I think it was the race track scene (specifically the truck portion), he said he had 7 sony PD170's covering that scene
