Truthful and realistic yet depressing to watch

I just don't know how to feel about this movie.

While I admire them keeping it real and not giving it a fake Hollywood happy ending, I just kinda shrugged when it was over.

It's frustrating that Nathaniel doesn't really grow or change or improve from the beginning of the movie to the end, but I guess we're supposed to be glad Steve has learned a lesson about trying to help the mentally ill and be their friend.

I'll worked with these kind of people and know exactly how it feels. You want to grab them and say "Look! I'm trying to help you! Can't you see that?".
Also with mentally ill family members. You have to accept that they need to want help and be there for them when you can.

It made me very tense at times. Joe Wright can do no Wrong (except maybe Pan).
