Does anyone else like the speach Conner gave to Sandra??

That was nice

I think his speech to Sandra was one of the two best things about this movie. (The other was the awesome soundtrack) It was so sweet and moving. I could just listen to it over and over. Watching Jennifer Garners reaction as he was making the speech was also moving.

I agree, even my husband liked his speech a lot and what I also really liked was what you said, Jenny's reaction to his speech. In fact I liked the whole part while he was chasing down the car to stop them from going to the airport.

It was pretty wonderful. I was watching the scene, thinking, 'OK, he has to persuade her to stay and not leave his brother, what can he possibly say that won't be something any one could think up?' Sure enough, he just blew me away with the speech.

reply

Considering he told her to "get over" her fiance cheating on her (why would anyone take advice from him anyway?), no I did not like the speech. I hit Skip on the remote. And why is it okay he hit her father and force her out of the car?

reply

You probably hit skip on the remote cuz you're fat and got cheated on. No need to deny it. We all know it's true.

it was the reason why i bought the movie. was just a very moving scene, probably the most memorable part of the whole movie.

it was so good that it kinda made the moment on the swingset seem a bit dull in comparison.

I completely agree. The speech was excellently written and performed. Unfortunately, it was about the only good thing about this movie...

very persuasive words...it was sincere and it came from the heart- no BS. I think that's why Jenny also reacted like that after hearing it; she saw the old Connor she thought she knew

made me cry like a girl with a pink dress on..

reply

I cried the first time I saw that scene, much to my surprise. I thought it was a fluke, but then I saw it on tv the other day and - whoops - cried again.
