sitting bull or red cloud who do u vote ?

many believes that sitting bull was the most succesfull indian chief of west but i cant accept that . sitting bull earned most of his name by the win the battle of little bighorn . the battle of little bighorn was one of the battle who fought on blackhills although indians won the battle of littlebighorn but they were defeated at the battles afterward and had to leave the black hills but red cloud had a great victory over army and forced them leave their position . i believe red cloud was the greatest indian chief .

I don't know about Sitting Bull but I don't believe that ANY of the Indians could fathom the unlimited number of the white man, they had fought wars against the Spanish soldiers and won so naturally they figured that eventually the white man would either be defeated or grow tired of the war and quit. If ANY chief had known the unlimited supply of soldiers or the overwhelming weaponry, they certainly would have fought the war differently. Let’s also not forget the important fact that MOST of the chiefs from all the different tribes wanted peace and they continually overlooked the countless treaties that the Government reneged on. If the Indian Nations would or could have come together earlier on in the war, they might have stood a chance but as I said earlier, they just couldn't fathom the sheer number of the white man or soldiers that were prepared to fight against them, at that time.

In terms of military prowess, there is no comparison: Red Cloud. Sitting Bull was mostly a holy man leader with powerful medicine, not a war chief.

Some of the great Sioux war leaders like Red Cloud and Crazy Horse were brilliant military leaders.

Red Cloud and Spotted Tail (another great Sioux warrior) had both traveled to Washington DC and saw how numerous the Americans were. After that they counseled their peoples to seek peace. But Red Cloud defeated the US Army for 3 years before that trip.
