They were both offbeat comedies supported for awhile by a non-major network and a small fanbase but ultimately they couldn't hold up. Funny that their episode count is nearly identical.

Most humans are dumb and have bad senses of humour. That's why shows like three and a half men and big bang theory are some of the most popular comedy shows. RIP Get a Life and SSP. Both awesome weird shows.
