SACK dave lamb

He is sooooooooo annoying. He buts into everyone's conversations, with stupid annoying comments. Just because he doesn't care what the contestants are saying, doesn't mean we don't. We can't always hear what they're trying to say because of his loud comments, he always has to shout. He is also annoying when he tells you everything they're doing, we can see they're chopping carrots, we can see they're stirring eggs, we can see they're putting the beef in the oven. Does he think only blind people watch this show.
When he says "i'm saying nothing" i wish he meant it.

reply

No. His commentary makes the show.

Better to regret something you did, than something you didn't do!

reply

I think most people would stop watching if they ditched him.

"When lightning strikes the sea, why don't all the fish die?"

reply

^^ This ^^

He's the reason the show was/is so popular, barely anyone watched it when it was the other guy doing the narrative.

Personally I think he's amazingly, offensively funny and is the main reason I watch (My misses is a chef so I have to anyway, but he's the reason I enjoy the show).

reply

The commentary to Four in a Bed, which is a similar programme, is much more conservative.

Not boring, just non-intrusive.

But the the contestants are much more volatile on Four in a Bed.

reply

He's the only reason I watch it!

reply

The show wouldn't be as good without him!

That lack of an Dave Lamb counterpart is what sank this show in the US.

They cant sack him, He is what makes it that much more enjoyable

(a US fan)

reply

Exactly. He makes the show. The narrator on the Canadian version seems to try too hard to be Dave Lamb. He doesn't succeed.

If you can't be a good example -- then you'll just have to be a horrible warning.
