Not really much discussion here

That's pretty sad that a movie like this ... whether good or bad
does not seem to be able to stir up enough conversation when
the board itself is open to pretty much anyone in the world.

There are some good things about this movie, and some things
one can be critical of.

One is the point of view of the movie ... who is this kid and what
does he really think? is this just his gimmick to break into moviemaking?
I mean he could not very well become popular for a documentary
that talked about the 47% like Mitt Romney did.

Face it, the media as it has incorporated is there to manipulate people
and appeal to their worst weaknesses, like every other aspect of
American culture is.

Maybe the idea is somehow if we can drag people down with a toxic
economy and society it is somehow their own fault.

But, these people being interviewed were very careless for members of
the 1%, and who really knows what they are?

The movie is too jumpy, and it seems to my memory to bounce back
and forth between new stuff and clips from "Born Rich".

If Johnson cannot get his Dad to talk about this, then what is he doing
so much in the documentary ... when he cannot or will not documenta
anything?

There is also a lot of inference and innuendo. Like the conversation
at the beginning with kind of insults and mistreats the rich people by
filming them when they do not want to be filmed, and making fun of
them by talking about the documentary he is making which he says
is about class.

These movies - if the moviemaker really wants to do something has
to go about 100x faster than this and put some real numbers and
graphs to things, there were a few, but also some ideas and structure
to any kind of change.

We have seen an explosion of documentaries ... but none of the documentarians
talk to each other or develop plans or ideas. This has gone on for at least
10 years when the documentary "The Corporation" came out.

Americans can digest information faster than this, so this is just playing
around. This is what is called fake activism ... and who would be better suited
than someone who is a member of the 1% .... kind of like who would make a
better image as a President to cut social security ... a rich guy or a self-
made poor black guy? All of politics is a drama ... so if this guy wants
to make a serious movie he has to do things to cut through the questions
people will have of his work.
