I don't understand the parents... SPOILERS

LOTS OF SPOILERS BELOW...

Okay so at the end of the movie the new mom is the person who was the babysitter's roommate. That explains why there wasn't a bed (probably on purpose). Also seems like she brought her to the bulletin board for a reason.

So who are the parent's he has during the movie, the mom and the dad she is babysitting for? Why would all three of them (mom, dad, roommate girl) be in on it? The dad says he didn't chose this and they want to get him out of town. Or maybe he pocessed the parents? Or pocessed the roomie at the end of the movie?

Did I miss something? If not, then what are your theories?

What I thought about it was that his parents actually weren't his parents, they were his guardians. They make a comment about having people in Colorado, so I was just assuming that different people could take over the care of the little boy.

How do you know that was her room mate? We never got to see her face.

I think the parents and the new "mummy" at the end(the room mate?) were just possessed.

reply

I think that the roommate was just satanic, (the decor in the dorm room) and was just drawn to the little monster when needed to fill in because the other satanic followers/parents were now dead.

They don't show the face of the woman at the end though I too thought it was the roommate. Maybe they were too cheap to hire an extra person to play that part so the roommate simply filled in the part and that's why they don't show the face.

there's no need to argue, parents just don't understand either.

What made you believe she was her room mate? Also, did anybody notice that whoever is holding the boy while placing the ad on the ulletin board has blood stains on her jacket?

reply

Just watched the movie and I did see some stains on the cuff of the sleeve. I'm not so sure they are blood but obviously I have no way of knowing.

I think it is an open question whether or not the mystery woman is the roommate. Sure, both characters are blonde and lean. But her full face was never shown at the end. From what we did see, her hair is a little different. Her manner of dress is obviously quite different. And she has no lip ring (unlike the room mate).

I get the impression that they may have just reused the actress Jillian Schmitz playing Erika the roommate to portray a second unnamed character. That wouldn't be out of the question for a low budget movie like this one was.
