The very ending ruined the film (spoliers)

I was really getting into it until the very end for its lack of information ruined it for me. did some random person take the kid in or was it a relative .... and what was the very end all about? did that couple move into the house? are they going to hunt for the kid and what was getting that knife out of the ground all about. i presume they are going to go and find the kid and kill him? they could have done that better and did she tell the police that the kid was the devil? so many questions at the end which i reckon is why the film never made it to the big screen.

I doubt she told them that as they wouldn't have believed her. But I agree... Though what baffles me most is; how the hell is Rick alive? Didn't the Dad just say he was dead? But apparently Rick wasn't dead and it didn't seem like he'd suffered any even potentially fatal wound?! So why did the Dad think he was dead?

But I'm glad he didn't die. I wanted him an Angie to get a real chance, they seemed so cute together. ^___^

Surprisinly good movie, too. I thought the kid was creepier than the stalker so the plot twist really didn't surprise me, though I didn't expect this to be an antichrist movie. But did the kid really need to have horns? And even so that he had to hide them day and night? That's ridiculous. Also, I wish he knew other words too than just "hungry" and I wish he did do something else too in this film than just be hungry and eat. But the basic idea I think was fine.

Oh but one big minus; the slaughter scenes. I fast-forwarded the slaughter scenes (of the blonde girl and Angie's attempted slaughter after her first escape attempt failed) because I just can't be entertained by such graphic $hit at all. And also, I think it was very much unneeded and diminished the film's atmosphere and power. This refreshing antichrist flick could've been great if those details would've left to viewers' imagination instead of throwing them disgustingly at the face.

But apart frrom that, and especially as I skipped them as well as I could, I really enjoyd this film.

"How is Rick alive?"

In one of the scenes in which we saw Rick's body together with the Priest's, Rick's eye / eyelid was obviously / intentionally moving in order to let us know that he was not dead.

How did the dad not manage to kill Rick? Well, I think the dad was just a screw-up. Remember, he also left Father Nicoletta for dead in Romania even though he wasn't.

I love when people spell spoilers "spoliers". Seems there's one thread on every movie board...
