Why was the priest stalking her then?

Seemed weird, especially since he was also stalking her at school. Why not just approach her as a priest and say do not go babysit the devil child.

simply because the priest was currpted and unable to use simple human interations and communications, he was looking for the girl who would simply pick up the flyer then stalk that person untill it lead him to the child. This movie was bad and verry predictalble I was shouting at the film "oh hes going to do that. ok now shes going to dodge that, ok now the childs is going to kill the police officer, ok now shes going to kill the child and he will come back in the end somhow"4.5/10

Oh, you're one of the know it all movie goers. Nothing more fun than listening to one of you blab about how you know what happens next. Like you get a trophy for knowing so much.

It's established that he had a previous run-in with the devil child, and his "guardians" had nearly killed him back then. It's also implied that they moved away after that experience, so the priest couldn't have known where they were residing if that's the case. Had Angie not taken up on the babysitting job, he probably would not have been able to find out where they were living. So therefore, he probably was trying to make sure that Angie was indeed going to the right house so he could banish the kid back to hell.
