Just watched this film I loved it, but confused about one aspect.

I thought this film was beautifully shot and keira looked amazing, but I was confused about the affair between Dylan and Vera I thought they only slept together when they was 15 but Caitlin gives the impression it was more than once, I thought they only kissed in the bath can someone clear this up for me.
