Ferris Bueller?

I mean in NO WAY to be disparaging or disrespectful toward this movie, the director, or least of all the Dalai Lama, but I have to ask:
Did anybody else think Rick Ray's voice in the narration sounded a lot like Matthew Broderick's in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"? As soon as the movie started I heard "Life moves pretty fast..." in my head.

Between his narration and the Dalai Lama's infectious laughter this is a delightfully joyous documentary, considering the down-to-earth nature of the subject.

I can't help but think he (the Dalai Lama) would be amused by the association with somebody as grounded & playful as the character of Ferris.

haha probably.

but i definitly have to agree. Ray's voice took me a while to get used to just because he doesn't have a typical narrator's voice. but it would have been very impersonal if he'd chosen someone else to do it

Absolutely I came to check the message boards to see if anyone had posted anything about it yet. It's uncanny how alike the two voices sound.

I find the narration tedious.
